EAT THIS!!

I don’t want to bore you all by telling you how bloated Im feeling today, and how I really am going to make an effort to start working out this month. It was Valentines, and my hubby and I went out to eat. So, I was going to eat what I wanted… if only I hadn’t, then my jeans might fit better. I really should get rid of those clothes in my closet from highschool. I am getting up at 5 tomorrow to work out. Blah, Blah, Blah!

But, I AM going to bore you with the reasons why you should get this cool book! It is called “Eat This Not That” by David Zinczenko. There is absolutely no dieting involved. It is all about better choices when you are eating out. Now I realize in a “perfect” world we wouldn’t even have fast food places, but come on…it’s one o’ clock and you are finishing running your errands, the kids are hungry and you want to get them fed before they zonk out in the car. You have already passed a Wendy’s and two Mcdondald’s. So you give in. The 3rd Mc’d's is right there. You get the kids a Happy Meal and those hot, salty fries are smelling so good! You order the number seven for yourself. (Mind you, you were good and got a diet drink, but you supersized the dang thing!)

  1. I have heard of this book before and it sounds really good. Thanks for your great blog.

  2. Here’s what I want to know…So, yesterday I totally worked out. Then I came upstairs and had myself a bowl of Kraft Mac & Cheese. So, did the mac & cheese cancel my workout?? Or…..did my workout cancel my mac & cheese?

  3. I officially love your blog and will be giving you another shout out before too long. I think you should get a kick back from all your book recommends, I keep ordering them off Amazon. But today I will use restraint and just check it out from the library. Good post, I know how you feel.

  4. I’ve heard of that book before and it certainly sounds interesting. Thanks!

And thanks for stopping at my blog. Nice to “meet” you!

  5. Jess you are a great writer. I love reading your thoughts!

  6. Those books are great!

  7. We bought the Eat This Not That for Kids and all of us sat together on the couch (my husband included) and went through the book. We were often really surprised by what we read. . .And, the pictures were easy enough for my daughter (who can’t read) to recognize. Also, it was totally interesting to see how they rated different Halloween candy: Best to worst.

    TOTALLY cool!
