Flattering Flats for Funky-Monkey Feet

It was a hard pill to swallow, but I have finally accepted the fact that I am only 5’5″ and will never, never, never be the 5’8″ goddess that I have longed to be. Although, come Sunday…I slip back on my heels and hope to trick everyone at church. The rest of the days you can find me in slippers in the house, sneakers in the gym, and flats around town.
Flats are heaven-sent. They are the one the easiest ways a woman can fool people into thinking she’s got some style. A casual outfit that you might normally wear flip-flops, boring brown/black leather shoes, or tennis shoes is instantly flipped upside-down when you change those out for flats. All the sudden, you are a style icon in the neighborhood and family. You should try it!
My best tip for buying flats is to pick out some with color or mettalic ones! They liven up your outfit and are so much more fun to wear. Don’t worry so much about matching. It’s doesn’t have to match, it just has to “go together”. Say you’ve got a cute yellow top on….well, try some turquoise flats or some red flats. Killer. Be brave!

Me Too Adonia Mary-Jane Flat, $78.95.

Crocs Malindi, $29.99

Report Olwyn Mary-Jane Ballet Flats, $49.95

BCBGirls Jester, $35.65 Clearance.

BC Footwear Pageboy Peep-Toe, $54.95

Aqua Marni Flats, $49.97.

I LOVE wearing my flip-flops, but when you’re trying to look a little more (just a little more) pulled together, opt for flats! They kick flip-flop’s butts any day!
