Anyway, here are my favorites for my kids:
I love this one about a brother and sister bunny because they have realistic sibling interactions, but the older sister is always so patient with her cute brother who is always interfering. It has always been a favorite with my kids!
Franklin is a sweet cartoon. It’s about a turtle that has lots of real-life experiences and learns how to deal with them….things like learning to be honest, to get along with others, to help out at home, etc. All things that we try to teach our kids anyway!…there’s nothing wrong with a little entertaining reinforcement.
How can you not like show with children speaking with British accents? This show is so cute and funny! Again, it’s a brother and sister who have their normal frustrations with each other, but resolve things and are so sweet.
Tom & Jerry
You may be noticing a pattern here, but I love cartoons that are sweet…and this is another one of them. Similar in style to Franklin, Little Bear is about a bear that learns important life lessons.

I’ve been taking a family reunion poll which has includes the question “what is your favorite cartoon character?” – my daughter actually picked Jerry! I didn’t even know she liked watching Tom and Jerry (it was MY fave as a kid too)
…other than yours… I don’t mind them watching a little Arthur and Word World…
I love Charlie and Lola!
I’m not really behind Tom & Jerry, though. Kind of violent.
My little girl loves Curious George and Word World. You’ve got to love PBS!
I like Toot & Puddle from Noggin. I really like Franklin, too
Halle isn’t much of anything watcher….. what channel is Olivia on? Maybe we’ll try that. She does like Little Einsteins though
Peep is a good one . My son also really likes Little Einsteins.
Love all those, plus Discovery Kids has a couple we like – The Magic School Bus and Meteor the Monster Truck (strange to see a juvenile monster truck, but my boys love it).
My kids love Caillou… It’s on at 12:30 right after lunch and it’s so calm it nearly puts them in a coma. I can always count on 30 minutes of quiet a day thanks to Caillou.
We love Shaun the Sheep at our house. It’s only seven minutes long, so it’s great if you don’t want your kids in front of the TV for long. Plus, there are no words, and it is so clever and FUNNY! Jayson and I thoroughly enjoy watching it with the girls.
