I put off as long as I can letting my kids feed themselves, because I don’t want to deal with this:
Here are some cute things I found to make this ritual go easier, and hopefully less messy!
This is awesome! It is Chico’s 360 degrees Hook On Chair! It rotates all the way around, so baby can face you wherever you are! $70 on Amazon.
This bowl and spoon set is cool. It’s from Elegant Baby. The bowl suction’s to the high chair, and the spoon also doubles as a teether. Elegant Baby $16.
Elegant Baby also has personalized feeding sets for your little one. In pink or blue. $26.
I literally go through 5 to 6 bibs a day my little boy drools so much! I found these wipe off ones with a pocket at the bottom (do I really want all that drool sitting there?) to catch crumbs, at Just Buzzin’ By for $22 buckaroos.
Customers on Amazon ranted and raved about the Sugar Booger sippy cup. Five stars! They said it is easy to use and clean. I highly recommend! $8 Amazon.
Little Tikes has a 4 piece mealtime set that looks just like their sandbox! Your kid is sure to have fun eating from this! $10 on Amazon.
These are the cutest! I want one for me! The Piggy Story has these really cute ceramic tableware sets. They come with a plate, bowl, cup, tin box, matching placemat and storybook. $40. I think it would be a great idea to have some etiquette lessons with your kids and when they have mastered their table manners present them with this!
Lastly, I thought this would be a fun idea for the whole family at dinnertime- dinner games! At Families With Purpose, they have a plethora of dinner time fun. Click here for all of their games. Here’s a couple examples of some. Everyone name as many red foods as possible, What is the funniest thing you saw this week, challenge someone to spell a word, say 3 nice things about the person to your right, make up a story about a fish named Joe etc.
Happy Feeding!

dude, Sawyer is SOOO cute! i can’t believe all that food on him!
so, i love the 360 degree chair! isabelle is always arching, twisting, and turning so she can see around her…and suction bowls would be great!
good ideas! i’ve heard great things about “dinner games”, i think there is another one that has deep questions for dinner time or something. both would be fun!
great ideas!
love the suction bowl, that would save a lot of heartache.
The game sounds fun as well!
I need to get me one of those chairs, genious!
