Meet and Greet With Picky Palate (she: Jenny)

Hi Everyone, It’s great to be here on “Or So She Says.” Let me introduce myself…

I’m Jenny Flake, the girl behind I am a wife and mom to 2 little boys that are my life! I also am a very part time pilates instructor which is another passion of mine, but that’s a whole other story! I love everything about food. Sweet and savory….everything really. It is so rewarding to create recipes, photograph my creations and share it with others. I enjoy focusing on family friendly creations for the busy family who doesn’t have a bunch of extra time to get dinner on the table.

My family and friends were my inspiration to start blogging. My boys were and still are pretty picky eaters, so I was enjoying the challenge of creating meals that they would both eat. When people kept asking for my recipes, I figured why not put them all in one place where I can share with everyone. I would have never thought I’d still be blogging a year and a half later. I love it.

Here is my “Picky” little family. Love these guys! Being a mom is what I spend 99% of my time doing. When I squeeze in some free time I enjoy running, doing Bikram Yoga and shopping like a mad woman! I love playing around on the computer, which is no surprise. You can find me on Twitter and Facebook too.

Here are 4 of my FAVORITE Treats to make:

Hot Little Chocolate Chip Cookie Pies
Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie Bites
The Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cookie Duo
Peanut Butter-Finger Mini Cheesecakes

Three of my FAVORITE Quick and Easy Weeknight Meals:

Thanks for getting to know Picky Palate! Come on over and find something good to eat!

Everytime I click on your blog I get a virus warning. Maybe you can look into that…because I LOVE to visit your blog!!

Are you by chance using Google Chrome? The warning tends to pop up because we use pictures from other sites. But, being on our site will not give you a virus. You might try using a different browser (internet explorer, mozilla firefox), clearing your cache, updating your browser, and/or running a spyware/adaware program. Hopefully, that will help. Email me if not! Thanks!

Thanks so much, Jenny! I’ve noticed the love affair you have with peanut butter! I’m excited to try some of your recipes. One of these days I hope to get a camera that can take lovely foodie porn pictures too!

    Fabulous job, yummy site!

Just so you know one of the pictures you use is a link to a virus that is why people are getting the warning, but they should be fine if they don’t click on the picture that links to the virus. It does not matter what system you are using. :)
    Love your blog!!

Thanks Nancy! I use all 3 browsers and Google Chrome is usually the one that throws up the warning…but only sometimes…other times its not there. It’s easy for me to avoid by using a different browser. None of the pictures on our site our linked…so clicking on them wouldn’t do anything. Do you know how to find out which is the offending picture so I can stop the annoyance? Thanks for coming by!

I think it is the picture from the family night post, the one right under “This Months topic “Loving Nature””

When I clicked on Cheesy Baked Mexi Rigatoni, there was no recipe found. I couldn’t find it on the Picky Palates web site either :0
