My family eats a lot of rice, so the Pampered Chef Rice Cooker Plus is one of my favorite kitchen helps! You just pour the rice and the water in, put the lid on and pop it in the microwave for perfect rice! It’s dishwasher safe also! $25 is well worth it!
Last but certainly not least, is the Le Creuset cookware. I have the 2 qt. french oven, and it is wonderful. It cooks everything evenly. It is super easy to clean and it’s cute just how it is. I serve dinner right out of the pot! It’s a pretty penny but well worth it, because it will out live you. I figure you might as well spend a little more the first time, and be done! $135
I use garlic in a lot of my cooking and I hate having smelly garlic fingers, so the garlic press is awesome! You don’t have to take the peel off- just put it in and push down and it’s minced and everything! The Kuhn Rikon garlic press was named the best in July 2007 Cooks Illustrated review on garlic presses. It’s made of stainless steel, has an easy-to-clean pull out sleeve, is dishwasher safe and has a lifetime warranty. $39.95.
Next in my kitchen is the Microplane zester. LOVE it! It will zest citrus peels without shredding it, and I use it for grating whole nutmegs too. It’s super sharp so watch out for fingers and knuckles. It was also named one of the “10 Best of Every Kitchen Gadgets We Can’t Do Without” by Good Housekeeping. $11.95
The spaghetti measuring tool. Nice. No more guessing how many noodles you need. Ra ra ra siscoom ba! Danesco got 5 stars on Amazon. 7 dolla, make you holla!
Oh yeah baby. This is such a manly man kitchen gadget. The BernzOmatic Micro Torch. For some reason, I keep finding it in my hubby’s tool bag. I really only use this for when I make creme brulee to caramelize the top. I make it quite often, so it was a great investment for me. (actually for my m-i-l, she got it for me for my b-day:) For my superb creme brulee recipe, click here. $26

Can I come cook in your kitchen??!! I have been thinking of getting the rice cooker and you have helped me make up my mind! I think I might add the spaghetti tool to my list too! Now that I think about it I HAD a microplace zester at some point…maybe I should check the tool bag!
I never knew there was such a thing as a spaghetti measuring tool! I need that!!!
You should have told me about your sweet Garlic Press when we were going on Good Things Utah and I was chopping garlic with a knife! Why you little…
Good stuff, good post, good girl.
Those all look so cool! If I buy them does that mean I have to start cooking?
Oh, that creme brulee torch looks mighty tempting – making creme brulee with the the broiler isn’t the same as with a torch…
