You haven’t given much thought to Halloween this year and time is running out. Literally. Already, kids are ringing your doorbell and you are still scrambling trying to get your kids dressed and out trick or treating. Here are a few quick and easy Halloween costumes kids are sure to love!
Spa Girl. Perfect for those “tween-age” girls who think dressing up isn’t so cool anymore. Use a chunky headband, pull her hair up, put on a 99 cent face mask, robe and slippers and she’s good to go!
“Smartie” Pants. Attach packages of smarties candies with packing tape to your child’s pants. Easy!
Black Eye Peas. The popular band, or the southern side dish. Take a skin safe black marker, and draw a pea around each eye. Wear black pants and a white shirt. Draw a big fat P on your shirt and pow! You are a black eyed pea!
A Cereal Killer. Hee Hee. This is what I want to be. Put on a white sweatshirt and black pants. Get the 8 pack of miniature cereal boxes. Put your clothes on, and using Krazy Glue or clear packing tape, attach the cereal boxes to you. If you can find a fake knife, attach that to you also. Slash some of the cereal boxes, with blood dripping down. Watch out!
Quarterback. Boys will love this one. Enlarge a photocopy of a quarter. Paste it to a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Then attach it to your child’s back with loops of duct tape. Voila!
Road Trip. Have your little one put on a gray sweatsuit. Get some yellow electrical tape, and make lanes down the sweatsuit. Take some velcro and attach a few toy cars to the sweatsuit also. Make a symbol for your local interstate, and attach it to the back of them or their hood. They are ready to go!
Here are some ideas for you adults.
Carry a quarter and a hammer. You are a quarter pounder!
Dress all in pink. Hold a feather. You are tickled pink!
Wear all black and attach an enlarged postage stamp to your chest. Black mail!
Put crosses all over the clothes you are wearing. You are a cross dresser.
Catchers glove, loaf of rye. Attach the bread to you, wear the glove and you are Catcher in the Rye!
Dress in a nice suit. Attach legal documents to yourself. You are a law suit.
For a couple: she dresses as a brick. He as a mason. What are you? A brick layer!

Those are pretty funny! Perfect for the un-festive teen or husband!
You are a ninja genius! I do not want to spend a ton of money on costumes this year, and suggested the kids make their own, and they moaned and groaned like their lives were ending. I think they will like these ideas! Thanks!
Super funny!
Last year I paid my kids each 15 bucks to come up with their own costue and recycle some form the past. They had a blast with the costumes and spending their cash, and I wasn’t into the holiday a small fortune and running from store to store!
Well worth it.
these are so cute! I think the smarty pants are my favorite!
I LOVE these Jessica! esp the quarter back…i think that’s what my hubby will be…
Love it!! Thanks!
