Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Grease a sheet pan. In a large bowl, combine sugar and melted butter; beat with an electric mixer.
Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla; mix well. (Those are my sister’s ugly blue fingernails. Although, her vanilla-pouring skills are second to none.)
Pour batter in prepared pan. Bake…well, I can’t remember how long to bake it…but around 40 minutes or more (until the center is totally cooked through). Insert a toothpick and it should come out clean.
Now, this is imperative: You MUST warm up the cut blondie (if not still warm), top with ice cream and caramel sauce for an out-of-this-world experience. The caramel sauce is an essential ingredient for this recipe…do not let me down. (I usually just buy the ice cream topping that comes in a squirt bottle…)Better Than Chili’s Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie
(can you think of a better name for me??)
1 1/2 cup butter, melted
3 cups firmly packed brown sugar
6 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cups chopped walnuts
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a sheet pan. In a large bowl, combine sugar and melted butter; beat with electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Add to the sugar mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 40+ minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm, or reheat individual servings in the microwave. Top with ice cream and caramel sauce.
