Alright, ladies. Here is my new favorite treat. It takes 5 minutes to make. You can make it just for you, or the whole fam damily and the dog, if you’d like. Even better, I bet you already have all the ingredients on hand, so no bundling everyone up for a trip to the store! Watch out, here I go:
Here are your ingredients: 2 apples, 2 Tablespoons of butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar packed, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp salt. (optional)
Peel and core your apples, and cute ‘em up, missy.
Then melt your butter in the pan. (Over medium heat)
After the butter has melted, sprinkle the brown sugar over the butter and add the apples. Stir the apples and coat them in the butter and brown sugar. Continue stirring and when the mixture forms a syrup, add the cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir.
Reduce heat, and continue to cook until the apples are fork tender and the syrup has thickened slightly. Remove skillet from heat and let cool for a minute. Then serve over vanilla ice cream, or eat plain. Enjoy!
-Sorry about this picture- I got excited and forgot to take it so this is right before my last bite!
