I hate to say it, but frankly I feel society has portrayed men and boys as selfish, egotistical imbeciles, (and while their may be many out there that fit that description), I think we women can help our sons to avoid that stigma. This book doesn’t ask for any apology for a boy to be a boy. Loved by dads and boys alike, it shows boys how to tie knots, play paper football, build forts, how to treat a girl and all about historical battles. Get them off the xbox and outside! Amazon $18. All ages.
The Last Mission had great review from high school teachers. They said their students loved it! This story is about a young soldier in WW 2 who by lying and using a false ID joins the Air Force. It also has a bit of a love story, and the boy makes it through the war. There is a little swearing, although not excessive. A great fiction, to help high school boys learn the experiences and tragedies of war. Amazon $7. Ages: young adult.
