In my home, a box of popsicles lasts 3 days, tops. Each kid needs one while running around outside, then another one after dinner, and one for all their neighbor friends. They go fast and I need some major help keeping my popsicle supply up. It’s all about “supply and demand,” baby. Besides, aren’t popsicles one of the highlights of childhood?? So, I’ve been browsing around lately, checking out different molds available and some fun recipes. I think my kids would have a hay-day putting together their own popsicles! Plus, it’s also a great way to sneak in some healthy ingredients…shhh…
A while back, Jessica did a post on popsicles with some great ideas, but I wanted to throw out some more fun finds!
So, check this out…
(of course, it’s pricey like you would expect from Williams Sonoma…but, I’ve still got my cursor idling over the “checkout” button.)
So, this is the Zoku Quick Pop Maker (($49.95). It’s no ordinary popsicle mold. What’s cool is that you always keep it in the freezer and when you’re ready to have popsicles, you pull it out…pour the ingredients in…and about 10 minutes later, you have popsicles! You can make several batches of popsicles while it’s still cold. Usually, when you realize you want something….you don’t want to wait several hours. So, this would be perfect for impatient, last-minute people, like me. They even offer a popsicle recipe book to give you some ideas.
Tovolo
makes the most popular molds out there. They have a built-in drip guard and an attached stick. Convenient! For $12 bucks, it’s totally worth it. This particular star mold makes really large popsicles. But, they have several other shapes and sizes to choose from…rocket shape, star (fun for the 4th of July), and groovy pop
, etc. Although, probably don’t get their toddler size jewel pop molds…reviewers say they break too easily.

Small sized Dixie Cups! Just pour the concoction in the cup, freeze mostly…add stick, freeze! Just peel off the paper (which also doubles as a wrapper) and you’re set
