I was super excited when I heard that W’s kindergarten class was having a party. I emailed the teacher and asked her if W could bring in a treat for his class. She said yes and then asked me to bring in drinks. Wahoo!!! I knew just the thing!
I had seen the idea online to turn juice boxes into monsters and such, but since we don’t do the scary stuff, I turned them into owls instead-just perfect for Fall!
Here’s how I did it:
Juice Box Owls 4 pieces of tan 12×12
4 pieces fall patterned 12×12
4 pieces dark brown 12×12
2 pieces cream colored 8.5×11
1 piece orange 8.5×11
glue stick
egg shaped cookie cutter
pencil
brown marker
scissors
double sided tape
pencil
brown marker
scissors
double sided tape
I cut the tan pieces into thirds, then again into halves and set aside. Next, I cut the fall patterned paper into thirds, then cut into half circles.
I used my egg cookie cutter to cut wings out of brown paper, and the bottom of a mini baking cup to trace small circles onto cream paper. I cut those and set aside. Lastly, I cut tiny triangles out of orange paper.
Then I just assembled my owl out of all the pieces.
I used tape affix owl to the juice box, leaving room for the straw.
Voila! I just love how they turned out! Now to see if I can handle seeing them being used and trashed!
