Slobber-Fest Sunday

I LOVE wearing casual skirts in the summer time…and, cotton jersey is sooo comfy!  I’ve had my eye on the Tiered Beach Skirts from Garnet Hill.  Throw on some flip-flops, maybe a shirt…maybe not, and you’re set!
The older I get, the more I obsess about being “comfortable.”  I used to be the gal, shopping in the mall, looking stylish with my heels on…not so much, anymore.  Now I see those girls and think, “Really??  Why??”  But, now and then I manage to pull it together…usually, for church (I’m all about looking good for the Man Upstairs) and going out on the weekends.  Anyway, what I’m getting at is my shoe-of-choice is usually a wedge.  Love them!  I swear they are the most comfortable way to pull off the heel-thing, and still look hot.  Born is a pricey brand, but their comfort factor is still good…this stacked wedge is even more comfy because your foot isn’t at such an angle.  I love/want/slobber over these shoes.  3 hour shoes, for sure.
I was watching Oprah, like 5 years ago, or something…and, she mentioned one of her favorite things was these Chocolate Croissants from Williams Sonoma.  I haven’t been able to bring myself to pay for them, yet.  But, I think about them on a regular basis.

We break about 3 glasses a day, at my house.  I don’t know why…my sink is really hard…oh, and probably because I have a whole herd of children.  So, I’ve got an eclectic group of glasses…short, tall, fat, skinny, and now I just need THESE ONES!  The Wizard of Oz always makes me smile, so it only makes sense that I drink my crystal light (generic Wal-Mart brand peach flavor, sucka) out of their character glasses.  Right?

Maybe when I’m feeling naughty and drinking non-diet goodness like Dr. Pepper, I’ll pour it in this

I’m a total nerd for pillows.  Pillows are soooo great because you can instantly change the look of a room by getting new pillows and picking up a few accessories to match/coordinate with them.  Pottery Barn pillows tend to be a rip-off, but I still like to look.  Pier 1 can be a great place to get pillows, even Target comes through with some neat ones.  But, these are the Leila pillows from Pottery Barn…

Happy Sunday!  And, if you haven’t “liked” my brand new Facebook fan page, do it now, or else…

  1. What’s the link for the Wizard of Oz glasses? That would be a perfect gift for my MIL. Thanks!

  2. Oh, this is a fun post!
Try the chocolate croissants from Trader Joe’s. Cheap and amazing!

  3. Becc, sorry. I was obviously drunk-off-my-butt when I wrote this! Ha, kidding (everyone!) but, I found so many errors in this post…eek! I wrote it in a hurry, trying to get out the door yesterday :) I put the link up now.

Kristin, We don’t have a Trader Joes here…boo. I hear great things about it. Thanks for the comment, I’ll snag some croissants up there in my travels! Do they ship them? I know Williams Sonoma will…frozen, then you bake them.

  4. Can you find me some cute, comfy wear at home mom shirts? Now that would be sweet. I just need a cute looking shirt, so I feel cute, but can still do my mom stuff. That would seriously be awesome, you do have the best taste.
I had to laugh when I read walmart peach drink! It is the yummiest

  5. Katie, I’m on it, sista. Mom shirts…give me a couple weeks :)

  6. I am LoViNg those shoes… but the little voice inside me (which sounds suspiciously like the voice of my podiatrist blended with the voice of my physical therapist…) says Tsk Tsk Tsk…

I may have to tell that voice to shove it…
