Happy October! It’s Liz from Liz on Call here. Are you so ready for the holidays? We finally put the finishing touches on our Halloween decorations and now the kids can’t wait to get their costumes on! Luckily they don’t have too many more days to go before they get to wear them. Even though we still have Halloween to get through, I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving next month. To get the kids ready, and thinking about what Thanksgiving is about, I created a free printable Thanksgiving word search.
This word search is full of words that remind me of Thanksgiving. Both the food and the fun! Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays because it’s all about focusing on our blessings and being with family. If you were to choose 12 words that represent Thanksgiving to you, what would they be?
My son (who is 7) had a hard time with some of the bigger words and needed my help, so this is perfect for kids that are a little bit older.
I think this would be fun to set at the place settings for the kids to do while they wait for Thanksgiving dinner to get on the table. Maybe it will get a conversation going about what Thanksgiving means to them. Do you have any traditions at Thanksgiving to get the family talking about blessings or gratitude?
