Hi! I’m Holly from Bits of Everything. I’m so excited to share a Thanksgiving project with you today! I know you are already worrying about the food, but do you have something cute for your little ones to wear? This turkey onesie is quick, easy, and fun! Let’s get going.
(You could also make this for any babies you know who make their arrival in the month of November; it doesn’t just have to be for the big Turkey-day!).
Fall Leaves Printable (she: Holly)
Hi! I’m Holly from Bits of Everything and I am so ready for Fall! Are you? I’m sharing a fun fall leaves printable today that will add the perfect touch to your Fall decor.
My mom always loved the changing leaves, especially red leaves. Changing leaves will always remind me of her. I loved this quote that is just a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the season. I know… it’s easier said than done. One tradition that we always take the time for is to take a drive up the canyon to see the leaves. I’m excited to do that this coming weekend! It’s one of my favorite traditions I do with my family.
Peach Syrup… Great for Adding to Drinks! (she: Holly)
Hi everyone, it’s Holly from Bits of Everything again. We have had a huge harvest with our garden this year, did you? We have a garden that is about 30 ft by 60 ft, plus an orchard with 9 fruit trees and raspberries and strawberries. I love it all, but it is a lot of work too. My very favorite thing we harvested this year is peaches! 4 of my 9 fruit trees are peaches, all different kinds. One tree gave us over 200 peaches!! Yay! I have bottled peaches, made peach fruit leather, peach pie, peach dessert, and peach jam, and still had some to share with my family and friends! This year I tried one new peach recipe — Peach Syrup.
Back to School Printable… “Good Luck!” (she: Holly)
Hi everyone! It’s Holly from Bits of Everything. I don’t know about you, but I can not believe that school is going to start so soon! This summer was just not long enough. I’m trying my best to get back in the school mode. One idea that I want to do this year is giving some ‘Good Luck’ gifts. I knew I wanted to give something useful, cute, and inexpensive. I made these back to school printables to go along with what I found.
DIY Fort Kit for Indoor or Outdoor Use that Kids Will LOVE!
Hi Everyone, it’s Holly from Bits of Everything!
Do you need an affordable, creative, and fun idea that will keep the kids busy for hours? I have the perfect thing for you! Today we are making a DIY fort kit using PVC pipe. I’ve done a few PVC projects and they are always lots of fun, but my favorite part is that PVC is cheap!
All the supplies you need to make your fort kit is 1/2 inch PVC pipe, pipe connectors, a pipe cutter (the metal sturdy one is best!), duct tape, clamps, blankets (or drop cloths), and a box to store everything in.
If you get the PVC that is 10 feet long, you should be able to get all these fort pieces with 10 pieces of pipe. We also got a variety of connector pieces. Once the pieces are cut, assign a color to each length. Color coding the length like this makes it so much easier when you need the same size pipe – just get the same color!
