Hi Everyone! It’s Adelle from PackedwithFun.com, the official blog for Get Away Today. On a hot day there is nothing quite as refreshing as a Lime Rickey. Since we’re always trying to recreate some Disney magic at home, we decided to make our favorite drink with a twist and call them Lime Mickeys. They were a hit with my kids and I think they’ll be a hit with yours too!
You could get really creative here and use this recipe to make all sorts of syrup flavors. Cherry, Peach-Mango, Green Apple, Fruit Punch… the combinations are endless! Once you’re done with your syrup, transfer it into a container that will be good for pouring and storage.
Sour Berry Fizz … the Perfect Poolside Drink (she: Gina)
Hi all! It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co. Hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far. For many years we lived in the desert of Nevada & endured countless scorching summers. During that time we learned a thing or two about how to cool off when the temps keep creeping higher. When it gets hot I like to whip up something quick in the kitchen & then go find some shade to cool down. One of my favorites is this Sour Berry Fizz. Just a couple ingredients & 60 seconds in the blender & then kick your feet up & relax by the pool.
This was one drink we really loved to enjoy out on the back patio while having some pool time. I would whip up a double batch & keep the pitcher out with us by the pool for easy refills while we splashed the afternoon away.
Blueberry Lemon Pina Colada (she: Jana)
There’s just something about a summer night that begs for a nice cool drink while lounging in your favorite chair (or even better…a hammock!) on your porch or patio. Am I right? I would be relaxing every night as the sun was going down, watching a beautiful sunset and sippin’ something wonderful if it weren’t for those pesky mosquitos! I’m a magnet for them! If anyone has a good trick to keeping them away that doesn’t include dousing yourself with disgusting insect repellant I’d LOVE to hear from you!
This is a favorite summertime drink of my families. So refreshing! And although the recipe includes Lemon-lime soda, it is really good without it as well.
Strawberry Pineapple Party Punch ~ Quick & Delicious Punch Recipe!
I love having punch in my house, in my mouth, and in my belly. I’m always up for trying a new recipe! Ew, I have to tell you…I tried the ickiest one the other day. It sounded so good…it was like eggnog, ginger ale, and peppermint ice cream. Okay, maybe that doesn’t sound good, but […]
Sparkling Apple Cider Punch ~ An Easy Variation of a Fall Favorite
I love fall…it might just be my favorite. It’s so nice after such a busy summer to have everything SLOW down. It’s beautiful outside…you should see the mountains in Utah right now! And, yummy recipes start popping up all over the internet: pumpkin, apple, caramel, soups, bread, cinnamon…I love it all. Anyway, this punch is […]

Nutella Hot Chocolate
We go through hot chocolate like mad, at our house. Swiss Miss packets, tubs of Stephen’s Hot Cocoa, gone. It’s on my shopping list every single week, in the winter time. And, Utah is stinkin’ cold right now, without snow. Boo. But, we’re being promised a white Christmas. Fingers crossed. So, today was one of […]

Vitamin C Slushy Punch ~ Great for Cold & Flu Season! (she: Beth)
Hello again! I’m Beth, and I blog over at Free Stylin’. You may remember my previous post about using Glad Press’n Seal as a stencil or in place of vinyl lettering. (I have crazy ideas sometimes, I tell ya!) I’ve always had a love of looking at things in new ways and creating something out of […]
Gourmet Hot Chocolate & Popcorn ~ Made By You! (she: Rebecca)
This is Mariel’s sister-in-law/beard man’s sister back for another post. I don’t know how Mariel continues to come up with such great posts! I’m constantly racking my brain and trying to think of fun ideas to add to this dynamic blog, but I rarely come up with any. However, I recently had a brainstorm of […]
Banana Slush Punch ~ My Current Obsession!
There are two reasons I am obsessed with this slush drink. For one, it’s so yummy (mine and the Beard Man’s new fave). For two, this recipe fills 3 Ziploc bags of slush to put in the freezer…which means, it can easily be pulled out and served on 3 separate occasions! It used to be […]
Luscious Slushes
So we have yet to post many drink recipes (please forgive us), so Mariel and I each made a summer slush to share with you. They are super easy, tantalizing, kids love ’em and they are perfect to serve at a bbq! Both of these will last forever in the freezer- just keep a bottle […]
