$1 Picture Frame Makeover (she: Carmella)

Hey there! I’m Creative Carmella, and it’s great to be back here with another crafty project!

Today I am sharing a simple stamping technique that will give this $1 frame a whole new life… and guess what I am using for my stamp??
Yes… that’s a toilet paper roll! I love how easy it is to get this perfect circle pattern!

For this $1 picture frame makeover you will need just a few things : Small wooden frame, {you can find these at any craft store for $1}, two colors of acrylic craft paint, and an empty toilet paper roll.

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! Time to start thinking sweet thoughts and giving not-so-subtle hints to the hubby about what kind of chocolates you like best 😉

Today I am sharing a simple last-minute craft that your kids will love helping you with too… It’s a Valentine in a jar!

All you need is a mason jar, a sharpie, some cardstock, paint and treats (cute kid optional). There’s also a free printable included in this post to help you out.

Winter Gloves Makeover (she: Carmella)

Since it’s my first time to post here at Or So She Says this year, I want to wish you all a very happy New Year from Creative Carmella! We have enjoyed a lot of family time over the holidays and I have enjoyed having a little extra time to craft while the kiddos have been happily playing with all of their Christmas loot! Today I wanted to share a quick little makeover for a pair of winter gloves. We still have lots of cold days ahead of us but winter items are usually on clearance right now so stock up and create some one of a kind gloves to sport all winter long!

DIY Halloween Stenciled Trick or Treat Bag (she: Carmella)

Hi there, it’s Carmella from Creative Carmella! Today I am sharing a quick {and very easy} Halloween craft! How about a fun little Trick or Treat bag?? It’s so easy to make!

To start, you will need a stencil pattern. I found this free downloadable spider stencil HERE. It’s actually meant to be a pumpkin carving stencil but works great for this project too. You can download and print the stencil, or you can do like I always do and copy it right from my computer screen 😉 Just tape the Freezer Paper, shiny side down, to the screen and trace… After you have it all traced, you will need to very carefully cut out the stencil using an Exacto knife. {be sure to place a cutting mat or cardboard underneath 😉 }

DIY Spray Painted Flower Pail (she: Carmella)

Before I share my very first craft with you {gulp} I wanted to let you know a little about me. I am a southern girl, born and raised in Alabama. I spent some time traveling this great country of ours but finally settled again just outside of Nashville. I met the man I would later call my husband just two weeks after I moved here and the rest, as they say, is history. Fast forward many years later and I am now a momma to three beautiful kiddos that keep me very, very busy. Two and a half years ago… somewhere between the diaper changes and play-dates… I began to feel like I was starting to lose myself a little. What I needed was a creative outlet… and from that thought, the Creative Carmella Blog was born. Also known as my “happy place”, the Creative Carmella blog is my little corner of this blogging world where I share stories about our life, DIY crafts, and all things creative. Finding my creativity again also opened the door to jewelry design too, you can see the designs that I have for sale now HERE in my online shop.
