First, lightly grease your baking dish (I use a 9-inch pie dish) and preheat your oven to 350 deg F.

Then, combine the flour, baking powder and 3/4 cup of sugar in a mixing bowl.

Pour in the melted butter and milk, and whisk together until you have a smooth, creamy mixture.

Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish, and distribute the blackberries over the batter evenly.

Sprinkle the whole thing with the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, then bake for about an hour, or until the cobbler has baked through and the blackberries are juicy!

Cool for a couple of minutes, then serve with vanilla ice-cream or whipped cream!
