Ingredients
Cookies:
3/4cupbutter
1cupsugar
1egg
1/4cupdark molasses
2tsp.baking soda
1TBS.ginger
2 1/2cupsflour
1tsp.cinnamon
Frosting:
1stick softened butter
4cupspowdered sugar
1tsp.vanilla
milkto consistency
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees
In a mixer, beat the sugar and butter together
Add the egg and molasses
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, ginger, and cinnamon
Add dry ingredients to the mixer, mix well
Roll dough into balls and place on cookie sheet
Bake for about 10 minutes
Make frosting while the cookies are cooling
For frosting, combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with hand mixer. Scoop into pastry bag to squiggle on top of completely cooled cookies
