My family and I have been to Disneyland several times and last September we were able to go to Disney World because our daughter is a Disney Cast Member and worked at Disney World through the Disney College Program. We noticed at lot of differences between the two parks and we discovered that Disneyland is more family oriented and geared more towards children than Disney World. It was fun to experience Disney World and to get to see were our daughter worked – but it was really difficult for us to explain to our six year old son why he couldn’t ride any of the rides in any of the parks at Disney World except for Magic Kingdom. At Disneyland anyone can ride any ride (unless they are really little). We also noticed that at Disney World there isn’t a lot of pin trading like there is at Disneyland. The Cast Members are willing to trade pins, but they really don’t have a lot of pins to trade. At Disneyland, the Cast Members have tons of pins and are really excited to trade with the guests!

Great tip to add! I haven’t been to Disney World since I was little. But, I’ve heard the same thing, that it’s better when you’re kids are older. Thanks for the comment, Ann Marie!
