DIY Quick Flower Favors Gift from Or So She Says

Hello again! It’s Mel from So Festive!a blog that shows you how to celebrate simply, whether for a birthday, holiday or party. I’m excited to share with you a last-minute Mother’s Day gift idea. Since Mother’s Day is tomorrow, you might not have much time to put something together for your mother, grandmother, or any special woman in your life.  Well, don’t worry, because this beautiful gift can be whipped up in 10 minutes!

And, even if you don’t need a Mother’s Day gift, save this idea for later. It would be perfect for a wedding, shower, party, or thank-you-gift.

What you need:

tissue paper, jute or ribbon, mini cans (I used tomato paste cans), fresh flowers (you can get this bouquet for $5 at your local Smith’s), scissors, and double-sided tape.

Supplies

Here’s how you make it in 10 minutes!

1. Cut tissue paper 3 1/4 inch by 7 3/4 inch. Then secure the tissue paper  to the can using double-sided tape, like this:

2. Cut flowers to desired height.

3. Keep the bouquet in place by using a twist-tie to secure the flowers together.

4. Place the flowers in the cans. Fill with water. Tie with jute or ribbon and attach a tag. And that’s it!

How beautiful and cheery is it used as a place card which can also double as a favor?
