With each new baby I’ve had (six!), I seem to come up with new favorite baby products. And, with each new baby, I convince myself I need a whole new pajama wardrobe. Because I do, right?? I always have to laugh when I see those ‘What I Wore’ blog posts from other bloggers. They’re look so cute! I look down at myself, and I’m all in my jammies, with no makeup, and fuzzy hair…at 2:00 in the afternoon. I’m always tempted to take pictures of myself and do my own version of What I Wore. That would be awesome; you would be so inspired. Okay, not. We’ll skip that and get right to great baby products and the yummiest jammies I’ve ever had.
It took a while for car seat canopies to grow on me, but now I totally get it. I love these for shielding baby and car seat from any wind, rain, or snow. They’re also nice for those times where you would rather people not hover over and poke at your baby. Sometimes it’s fun to show off the little one, but other times you want them to stay sleeping, and even healthy. These covers are great people-deterrents. Etsy has lots of cute ones. But, I especially loved the ones from Sassy McTaffy because they zip up the front (rather than just a little button or nothing), there are little loops of hanging toys inside the cover, and there is an option to add elastic on the back to keep the canopy from shifting around.
Okay, while looking at the car seat covers, I stumbled on this car seat cover and had to show it to you. Isn’t it adorable!?! But, I had a boy. So, maybe you can get it.
Speaking of car seats, I love hooking the Travel Cloud b Giraffe or Sheep around the handle. My babies always sleep to white noise (or rain) at home, so it’s nice to have some sleepy noises for on-the-go. It’s especially great for situations in public that are loud…it totally helps keep my baby snoozing right through it. Cloud b has both the sheep and giraffe in travel or full size.
There’s something about a swaddled baby that melts my heart. They look so cute all bundled up! But, that’s not the best reason for it. Mostly it seems to keep my babies happy and sleeping longer. There’s something about whacking or scratching your own face involuntarily that just isn’t conducive to sleep. I love these Swaddleme wraps! They make swaddling quick, easy, and inescapable.
It’s a little icky to think about, but if it makes baby happy and feeling better, it’s worth it. I have one of these, but luckily haven’t had to use it yet. With nearly 1,400 five star reviews, this NoseFrida Snotsucker is the clear winner when it comes to nasal aspirators. Babies are less bothered by it that the bulb shaped standard aspirator and it gets more snot out, meaning happier baby and happier mom. And, let me say…no, you will not suck the boogers into your own mouth (unless you want to.) You just suck hard enough to get them out. You’ll have to read some of the reviews. Many people suggest putting saline in the babe’s nose first to loosen things up more. I don’t know. Haven’t tried it yet, but I’m sure the day will come.
We all love Aden + Anais Muslin Blankets, right? I’ve blabbed about them before. But almost equally as loved is their burp cloths, or rather burp/bibs. They are super absorbent, are big enough to cover your shoulder and chest, and they can also be used as bibs. Reviewers go nuts over them, and they should.
In prepping for my new baby Ben to come, I asked y’all on Facebook about your favorite, most comfortable pajamas. I got lots of great suggestions, but one of them was mentioned several times. Soma. Where had I been? I had never even heard of Soma. But, NOW…me and Soma are tight. Their pajamas are literally the yummiest things ever…SUPER soft, breathable, great quality (wash well), and attractive. That’s right. If you’re going to wear pajamas until 2:00 in the afternoon and/or all day, you might as well wear cute jammies. The Soma pajamas are pretty pricey, but I found that they often have sales. I got several pairs of cute jammies in their sale section for about half off. These may just end up being my new default gift for women this year because I love them so much.
