October is just around the corner and so is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most of us know someone who has suffered from this horrible disease. I hate cancer! It steals away those we love way too soon. When breast cancer is detected early, the five year survival rate is 98% (source National Breast Cancer.org). Those are incredibly awesome odds! One way to to catch breast cancer early is to know your body. Self-breast exams, clinical breast exams, and mammograms are all ways to help increase your chances of finding it early. I created this printable as a reminder for all women to do their part to lessen the sting of breast cancer. Help us kiss breast cancer goodbye!
I made two different versions of this printable. One is a 5×7 card you can put on a gift bag or even make into a card. The other is meant to be folded over a ziploc baggie full of Hershey’s Kisses. Just cut out the printable (there are two on a card) and fold over the baggie and staple on the sides. I believe that Hersey’s even makes pink kisses in October to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness. The back of the foldover card has early detection guidelines listed to make your friends aware of what they need to be doing to detect breast cancer early.
