It’s always fun to start a new year here on ‘Or so she says…’ because I get to introduce to you a bunch of new and fabulous bloggers who have joined the blog team. There is sooooo much talent and creativity out there and my behind-the-scenes gals and myself work really hard to find our very favorites and slap a ‘she’ in front of their name. We’re pretty excited about these gals, both new AND the ones who are sticking around for another year. There will be oodles of blog posts and ideas coming your way. So be here, every day, yo. There’s always something new… recipes, parenting tips, travel ideas, crafts, gift ideas, and so much more!
I’ve been a big fan of Kiki and her work for a long time now. Not only does she make the cutest printables and digital art, but she’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! I’m sure you’ve seen her creations ALL over Pinterest. She makes beautiful quote art, holiday printables, my Visiting Teaching printables (yay!), and everything in-between. There’s a reason she’s so well known and sought after. She’s amazing!
Hi! I’m Kiki from Kiki and Company where I love to share my passion for creating, sewing and designing printables.
Well, really this is more like what Kiki and Company is:
.
I am a wife to an incredible man, who supports all of my wild endeavors, a mom to 5 crazy fun kiddos, who stay SO patient with their imperfect mother and couldn’t imagine being busier than I am right now in my life…(except the busyness never goes away..anyone with me?!) I find so much joy in the mundane things of life. I enjoy so much being a teacher to my kids, love being their taxi, coaching them, dancing with them in our living room and reading a fun book with them, but my favorite moments happen when we are all sitting around and laughing together. My kids and I are constantly creating new projects together and that is where the whole idea of my blog came about. They really are the catalyst for so much of my inspiration. My passion is in creating fun and meaningful printables to hang in your home and bring you together with your loved ones. I even have a shop where you can find printables of all kinds!

My #1 favorite blog post from 2014:
.
I know, after talking about how much I love printables, this might be really silly, but my favorite to write was actually Parenting is Cake.
.
My second boy turned 8 and I was reflecting on the 8 amazing years I’ve been able to be his mom while making him an 8 layer cake for his birthday. I often have a hard time sharing the more personal side of me, so I was really happy with how this one turned out.

My #1 most pinned post from 2014:
If I can send you to one post I know that you will find something you love, it will be this one:
My favorite book sometimes happens to be the only book I happen to read each month. I LOVE reading from the scriptures. The peace that comes in my home and the lessons I am taught help me have faith to overcome the struggles I have.
My #1 beauty product:
.
Oh. My. Heck. I am boring. I don’t wear too much makeup and never stick with one thing too much, but there is one lotion that I just love to pieces (and it’s not that exciting! ha!) Enter CeraVe.
.
.
This lotion was seriously life changing for my family. Living in the desert, we get REALLY dry spells that suck all of the moisture out of your skin. My kids all seem to get super dry skin, so we all use this lotion and it is amazing. No greasiness, not much smell and it works so great. Two of my kids get patches of eczema and it really seems to help with that too.
.
My #1 favorite healthy recipe:
I’m going to pretend that these are healthy because they have coconut in them. Believe me, you will thank me:

and the recipe for my non-HEALTHY recipe: 😉

My #1 movie:
.
Pride and Prejudice. I could watch it a million times over and still love it as much the next time.
We have been to Seabrook on vacation with family a few times and it continues to be one of my favorite places on earth. The beach, parks, swimming, quiet and gorgeous. I LOVE it! One time we stayed in this sweet little house:
.
.
The last time, we stayed in this really fun one (if you go with a large group, this house is a must!)
.
.
My #1 place to spend money: My new favorite shop (and I can’t let myself go there too often)
.
.
We just got a Paper Source not too far from my home and it is just a gorgeous store! If you have one nearby, GO. You won’t be disappointed.
.
My #1 personal mantra:
.
“I can do hard things”.
I tell my kids that. I tell myself that. It’s a fact of life that life isn’t simple. BUT the attitude we have going through it makes all the difference and can help us weather it with joy.
.
My #1 goal for the new year:
.
My one little word for the year is TRUST. I’m trying to let go and live and trust this year…and I’m really liking where it’s headed!
