Hi, Becky here from Bite of Delight, and I’m excited to share this fabulously simple recipe with you today! It doesn’t get more delicious than no churn peach ice cream in the heat of the summer.
Peach season is one of my favorite times of year! Fresh peaches are delicious in so many different foods. You can make peach salsas, desserts, savory dishes, dried into fruit leather, grilled and served with ice cream…or even in ice cream! Homemade ice cream is one of our favorite summertime treats, but you don’t have to have an ice cream maker to enjoy it! You can have fresh, wholesome ice cream with just a handful of ingredients and a little bit of time. This one is so easy to put together that it’s perfect if you have little helpers.
I got some new popsicle molds a few weeks ago, and since it’s easier for my little ones to eat ice cream when it has a handle, I made some of the ice cream into popsicles! My little guy and his cousin loved them…and were very focused on their serious task of eating them. {I haven’t been able to keep a shirt on him this summer…but I figured it was a great way to keep ice cream off his clothes anyway!}
This no churn peach ice cream is super simple to make because it only has a handful of ingredients. I love the short ingredient list not only because it makes it so easy to put together, but because it doesn’t have a list of unpronounceable items that I probably don’t want my kids eating. It’s wholesome and delicious!
No-Churn Fresh Peach ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- dash of salt
- 4 large peaches peeled & pits removed
Instructions
-
Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
-
While the cream is whipping, pulse the peaches in a blender until desired consistency. (I like to have some peach chunks in my ice cream, so I don't puree it. If you want smooth ice cream, blend until pureed).
-
Combine the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt and peaches.
-
Fold the whipped cream into the milk mixture.
-
Place ice cream mixture in a freezer-safe container and freeze for about 6 hours, or until hard.
-
Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before scooping.
