I’ve been on a dip-kick lately, which is super convenient because the Super Bowl is this Sunday! I so don’t care, but I guess I’m always down for some funny commercials and some finger foods. Tuesday, I shared with you a yummy Queso Dip recipe. But, then I wanted to give you an idea for something a little sweeter.
The other day, I met my bestie/new assistant, Paula (remember when I introduced you?), at Barnes & Noble. We let the kids play with the train table and read some books, in hopes that we could relax and chat. Okay, so instead of chatting, we changed poopie diapers, and instead of relaxing, we chased babies. But, there was a few things that I got from our outing…happy kids, time with my friend, and some recipe ideas. I pulled a couple kid’s recipe books off the shelf and started thumbing through them. Those books are awesome because everything is easy! Anyway, I stumbled on a recipe for a Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip that started me salivating.
Which brings me to today’s post. I entered the recipe in my phone (is that stealing?), came home and whipped it right up. I actually threw out my first batch, there was just something I didn’t quite like. I started over, using a different brand of yogurt, adding a little vanilla extract, and there it was. Everyone loved it, and it’s actually…oh, 75% healthy. That’s pretty good, right?
So, my first attempt I used Dannon vanilla yogurt, but it was sorta bleh. But, then I switched over to my favorite vanilla yogurt, which I’m sure you’ll laugh at, but I love the Weight Watcher’s vanilla. Basically, I would say just use YOUR favorite vanilla yogurt, and you’re good. Oh, and you want this to be cold, when you serve it…according to me.
