Wassup, my friends. Okay, these Pecan Blondies with Browned Butter Frosting are soooo good. It seems pretty rare that I’ll try a recipe and know that it’s more than a keeper, it’s a CRAVER! I keep walking past my pan of these, telling myself, ‘Don’t to it. Don’t…. do… it.’ And, then I do it. I snag one more little piece. Then I walk past again like 5 minutes later.
So, I found this recipe in this huge Pillsbury cookbook I’ve had kicking around for years. It was taking up so much space in my cookbook cupboard, that I decided to go through the whole thing and pull out just the recipes I wanted to try. These Pecan Blondies with Browned Butter Frosting was one of them. I was sure the hubs would have no interest in them, since he’s all about chocolate desserts, but he totally went for it. Yay! A non-chocolate dessert that I can add to our agreed-upon recipes. It’s soft, chewy, pecan-y…
Let’s get to the good stuff!
Note: I haven’t tried this yet, but next time I may double the blondie recipe in the 9×13 pan. Obviously, it would have to bake a lot longer, but I was kinda wishing the blondie was even thicker. I like a big ole bite of chewy goodness.
