Green tea, fresh raspberries, and sweet lemon-basil syrup come together in this deliciously refreshing summer beverage!
Hello, Or So She Says! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling and I’m happy to be back to share this simple, delicious, raspberry citrus green tea cooler recipe with you! The weather in Wisconsin has finally started to warm up, and all I can think about is getting outside and soaking up the sunshine! We’re not quite there yet (the temperatures have been in the 50’s this week)….but soon enough we’ll turn a corner, and we’ll be spending all our days outdoors! (When it’s only warm 3-4 months out of the year, you take advantage of it!)
One of my very favorite parts of summer is having friends over and sitting on the patio, with a cold drink in my hand (and hopefully some chips and guacamole to go with it!) while the kids run around. There is something wonderful about knowing they are having fun….while I am, too! I am always looking for fun new drink recipes the whole family can enjoy, and this green tea cooler is perfect.
The green tea can easily be mixed or substituted with lemonade for sweeter taste….and, of course, the basil leaf can be removed altogether. (If your kids are anything like mine, green = bad!!) But I can guarantee they’ll go crazy for the fresh raspberries and sweet lemon-basil syrup….and you will, too! The best part about it is how quick and easy it is to put together….and yet, it still feels like something special!
So what about you?? What do you look forward to most in summer? Longer days? More time with your kids? The beautiful weather? Whatever it is, I hope you are as excited as I am! Soon enough…..!!
