Valentine’s Day is around the corner and there has been a lot of sweet talk going around. One of the best things about a Disneyland vacation is the sweet treats. So, in honor of the upcoming holiday, I thought it would be fun to share 10 of the Sweetest Disneyland Treats you can find at the Resort! So, here they go in no particular order…
Beignets: If I’m getting an early start at the theme parks, I like to make a quick stop by the Jazz Kitchen Express in Downtown Disney for an order of beignets. They come in a bag with powdered sugar that you can shake to coat your doughnuts to your desired sweetness.
Bananas Fosters French Toast: Steakhouse 55 inside the Disneyland Hotel is a swanky restaurant by night and one of the best kept secrets for breakfast. I absolutely adore their bananas fosters french toast for a sweet start to a great day.
Dole Pineapple Whip: I don’t feel like I’ve been to Adventureland if I don’t get a Dole Pineapple Whip located right by the Tiki Room. This juicy soft serve ice cream float is the perfect blend of tart, sweet and smooth.
Ghirardelli’s Chocolate: You don’t have to travel to San Francisco to enjoy the rich, creamy goodness of Ghirardelli’s. Everyone who enters the door of the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop in Disney California Adventure Park gets a free chocolate square. For a real treat you can splurge on a hot fudge sundae.
Chocolate Covered Banana: These frozen delights can be found at the ice cream carts throughout both parks. Most of these carts also sell Mickey ice cream bars and sandwiches. They’re good too, but I can never turn down a frozen banana.
Churro Bites: Grab a cone full of yummy churro bites with cinnamon-chocolate sauce for dipping at the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land. It really elevates this classic Disneyland treat to the next level.
Clarabelle’s Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars: One of the sweetest additions to Buena Vista Street is Clarabelle’s. Here you pick your ice cream bar (chocolate, vanilla, or berry), pick your chocolate coating (milk or dark), and pick your topping (Mickey sprinkles, chocolate chips, etc.). And voila, you have a perfectly customized dessert!
Ugly Crust Pie: They may not be pretty, but they are tasty! Flo’s V8 Cafe is located in one of the most picturesque settings in Cars Land and serves mini pies in a variety of flavors. My favorite is the apple cheddar.
Coke Float: Few things are more classic than Disneyland and Coca-Cola. You can get the best of both worlds with a Coke Float from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor located on Main Street U.S.A.
OK, now I’m really craving something yummy! Did your favorite make the list? I’d love to hear what your “must-have” Disneyland treat is.
