I love when the weather starts to warm up and you can finally start getting outside with the kids. It feels almost like getting released from jail… Not that I know what that actually feels like! 😉 But seriously, it’s a great feeling isn’t it?! Finally you can set them loose on the playground or in the backyard and watch all that pent-up energy burn up. One thing that can be a lot of fun to do when the weather warms up is have a family picnic! Before the kids came along, my husband and I used to take motorcycle rides around town and find fun little spots to picnic. With the kids, picnics take a little more planning and a lot more car seats but they’re still a lot of fun. You could picnic at a great local park with some shaded areas, at the end of a short hiking trail with a great view, on a nearby beach, etc. And once you’ve got a location in mind you’ve just got to figure out what you’re going to eat and bring with you.
