Get the kids in the kitchen and together make this leprechaun bark recipe to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day.
My kids are all about helping me in the kitchen these days. If one wants to help, 3 stools suddenly appear in my kitchen with 3 eager helpers gathering around. Since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, I thought it’d be fun to have them help me create a fun treat to get excited about the upcoming holiday. This leprechaun bark recipe is really easy. I wanted it to be fun and colorful as well as delicious. 
To make this you will need 8 oz of green candy melts and 8 oz of white candy melts. Melt them both in the microwave and then pour out onto a parchment line baking sheet. Swirl the two colors together as you spread out the candy. Did you know you can buy just the marshmallows from lucky charms cereal? I love the fun colors and shapes of the marshmallows so the kids added them to the melted candy. Then we added some pretzel sticks. I love the saltiness that the pretzels bring. And it wouldn’t be Leprechaun bark with out a little bit of gold. Rainbow and Gold sprinkles totally finish off this treat. Put it in the fridge to set up for about 30 minutes before you break it up.
Leprechaun Bark Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 oz green candy melts
- 8 oz white candy melts
- lucky charm marshmallows
- pretzel sticks
- gold sprinkles
- rainbow sprinkles
Instructions

Melt candy melts in the microwave and then pour out onto a parchment line baking sheet.

Add marshmallows.

Then we added some pretzel sticks.

Add sprinkles.

Refrigerate for 30 mins before breaking up.
Look how fun and festive it turned out! My kids couldn’t wait to get their hands on this stuff. Although the little one just ate all the marshmallows off. 🙂
Although St. Patrick’s Day isn’t a huge holiday that we celebrate, the kids like wearing their green and eating green colored snacks. Some of our favorite St. Patrick’s Day treats are these lucky clover marshmallow treats and this green velvet cake bars.
