Meaningful St. Patrick's Day Tradition

You’re As Good As Gold… A Meaningful St. Patrick’s Day Tradition

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! I wanted to share a fun, quick St. Patrick’s Day service project that you can easily do TODAY! I’m always looking for fun ideas that help strengthen our family. This activity is simple, fun and will help promote kindness in your home.
Write each child’s name on a shamrock. Hand them out, making sure no one gets their own name. Give them these simple instructions:
1. Look at the name of the person on your shamrock.
2. Watch them throughout the day and look for something they do that is good.
3. When you see them do something good, write it down on the shamrock.
4. Take the shamrock to mom and get a bag of gold (chocolate coins or any other gold wrapped candy).
5. Deliver the gold and the shamrock to your assigned person.
EASY!

St. Patrick’s Day Word Search (she: Liz)

This word search is one of those small activities I like to do with my kids to get them excited for an upcoming holiday. My son has asked me at least once a week if it’s time for him to wear his green yet. He is very worried about all the pinching. This St. Patrick’s Day word search will be a fun activity to do with the kids to not only help them get excited about St. Patrick’s Day, but learn a little something about it as well.

Printable St. Patrick’s Day Tic-Tac-Toe (she: Brooke)

How is it already the middle of March? I love this time of year! But I feel that way about every new season. I love the anticipation of what’s to come. The warmer weather, the spring flowers, the green grass, and blossoms on the trees. Such a beautiful, refreshing time of year! And, of course, I love the holidays associated with each season as well.
Along with leprechaun traps, we always love a good St. Patrick’s Day game. Last year I shared our Roll-A-Leprechaun game (still a family favorite) here at Or So She Says, and this year I have a printable St. Patrick’s Day tic-tac-toe game for you. I have a valentine tic-tac-toe game that we use at our house, and my four-year-old loves it! So, I thought I’d make a St. Paddy’s Day version in honor of this Irish-inspired holiday.

Leprechaun Hat Place Card Holder (she: Darleen)

I am one of those people who loves to celebrate each holiday to its full capacity! While I don’t go too crazy decorating for St. Patrick’s Day, I do like to wear green and make the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner on the Irish holiday. I thought it would be fun this year to set the dinner table for our St. Patrick’s Day feast with these simple darling leprechaun hat place card holders. Add some green potted plants for centerpieces and place the leprechaun hats on the plate and you will be good to go.
