Hi there! Sierra here from The Blue Robin Cottage!
Hold the phone guys because… PEACHES ARE FINALLY IN SEASON!!! So you better believe I’m sharing a delicious peach dessert with you all today.
I know, you are jumping out of your chair like I am right now because if we are really being honest here…peaches are the best! So juicy and sweet…and now my mouth is watering.
Today I’m sharing a family recipe that will make you want to walk…I mean er… run to your nearest grocery store and buy up all the peaches they have!
I love that this recipe is simple and absolutely delicious! Perfect for hot summer days, because its a chilled dessert and perfect for little helping hands.
So let’s get started! Because I know after all those peach pictures, you are totally salivating right now… 😉
Peach Dessert (she: Sierra)
Ingredients
- 1 -12 oz box of Vanilla Wafers
- 1 -16 oz container of sour cream
- 1- 1 lb bag of powered sugar
- 1 - stick of butter
- 1 -8 oz package of cream cheese
- About 12 Fresh Peaches
Instructions
-
First, crush your vanilla wafers. I like to use my food processor, but you can also stick them in a plastic bag and crush the heck out of those babies <----which is also a great way to relieve stress. 😉
-
Next put half of those super yummy crushed vanilla wafers in the bottom of a 9X13 inch dish or pan.
-
Slice and place your fresh peaches on top of the crushed vanilla wafers. My kids loved helping put the peaches in.
-
Spread the 16 oz container of sour cream on top, then sprinkle about a 1/4 of the rest of the crumbs on top of that.
-
In a mixing bowl, mix the butter, powdered sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Spread that beautiful mixture on top of the crumbs until it's nice and smooth like frosting on a cake!
-
Add the remaining crumbs on top and put in the fridge to cool for a few hours or until firm.
