Hi everyone, it’s Adelle from Packed with Fun, the official blog for Get Away Today! And today, we have a special surprise for you all – It is that time of year already where we need to start thinking about the holidays. I think one of the best surprises for Christmas is a Disneyland vacation! So to help you reveal the big gift to your family, we have three free and easy Disneyland vacation surprise printables:
Tangled Disneyland Vacation Surprise:
A visit to Disneyland is like jumping right into a Disney story. So what better way to surprise your little ones than with the help of our free Tangled printable! When your child “lets down Rapunzel’s long, golden hair,” your once upon a time to the Happiest Place on Earth begins.
First, print out the two printables below. The page with the Tangled tower should be printed onto cardstock. The sheet with the golden hair cutout should be printed onto regular paper.
Cut around the edges of Rapunzel’s hair. Then, cut a little slit at the bottom of the tower window.
Pull the tip of the hair through the slit you just made in the tower window. Leave just a little bit of the hair laying over the edge. The remaining part of the hair will be on back of the page.
Now, your card is ready for presentation! When you give the card to your own little princess, let her pull the tip of the hair down towards the bottom of the tower. When she does, the special Disneyland announcement will appear!
Star Wars Disneyland Vacation Surprise:
You can jump start this amazing vacation with just a single penny! Use a coin to scratch away at the vacation reveal cards to announce your Star Wars themed Disneyland vacation to your family. It is safe to say that you will be known as the best parent in the Galaxy!
It is so easy, here is everything you will need:
Printable Star Wars Disneyland vacation surprise scratch off cards
Clear packing tape
Acrylic paint (matching the color of your cards)
Liquid dish soap
To start, print the templates below onto heavy cardstock.
Cut out the cards that you want to use in your vacation reveal. There are four options to choose from; Kylo Ren, BB-8, Finn or Chewbacca.
Cover the area designated for the scratch paint with clear packing tape. I cut my tape to be about the same size as the spot that my scratch off area was going to be, but I wasn’t too picky with it. The tape is clear so it doesn’t really show up too much. Just make sure the area you are going to paint has tape on it!
Mix two parts acrylic paint with one part liquid dish soap. Use the paint color that matches your card.
Spread a thin layer of paint mixture across the designated taped area of the template. Let the paint dry completely before adding another thin layer of paint. Repeat the process about four times. Add enough layers to fully cover the text on the paper. You want it to be a surprise!
The cards are ready when the paint is thick and dry.
The fun part is about to begin. Give the cards to each member of your family along with a penny each. Let them scratch the paint away to reveal your Disneyland vacation!
Each of the card designs have a unique spot for the secret message. But, the overall concept is the same. Scratch the paint away to find a secret message about a trip to Disneyland.
Look Who Is Going To Disneyland Vacation Surprise:
Like Mickey always says, “We’ve got ears, say cheers!” I can’t think of a better reason to cheer than finding out about a magical Disneyland vacation! Give your family their own Mickey or Minnie ears and listen to their happy cheers with this simple and fun Disneyland Vacation Announcement printable.
First print both of the template pages in color here: (Inside / Outside) Print the front of the card first. Then, place that same page into the printer, so that the inside of the card is printed on the back of the front. (It is double-sided.) The “inside” of the card should be printed upside down compared to the front. That way, when you fold the card, everything magically appears correctly! It will make perfect sense when you get started, I promise.
Note: This image is used to display what the front and back of the card look like. Your’s will be printed on the same page. You won’t have two papers like in the photo.
You will need mirror paper to create the Mickey, or Minnie, face.
Glue or tape the circle onto the mouse face and press it into place.
You can also easily add a ribbon bow onto the top of the Mickey head to turn it into a Minnie for the little girls in your family!
Fold the paper in half so that it creates a card. And…you’re done! It is just that simple!
The outside of the card reads: “If you’ve got ears, say cheers!”
Then when they open the card, the text reads, “LOOK who is going to Disneyland!” When they look in the mirror they see their own Mickey or Minnie face reflection in the mirror. It’s pretty exciting!
