May 3 Primary Talk: Holy Places
Heavenly Father wants us to stand in holy places. That means we should try to be in places where we can feel the Holy Ghost and be close to Jesus.
A holy place can be the temple, our church building, or even our home. We can also make our hearts a holy place when we choose to be kind, honest, and follow Jesus.
When we stand in holy places, we are protected and we can feel Heavenly Father’s love.
It makes Jesus happy when we choose to be where He would want us to go. He knows that when we are in holy places, we can listen to Him better and grow closer to Him.

Primary Talk May 10: Our Prophet
One of the blessing we have as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is our prophet! Our current prophet is President Dallin H. Oaks.
The prophet is able to give us special instructions and messages from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He is their messenger on Earth.
The prophet has told us that we need to be grateful for our families. He said it is important to spend time together, have fun with each other, and learn and grow as a family unit. I love my family! I am glad that we can be together forever.
He has also asked us to be peacemakers. Jesus was a peacemaker. He loved everyone. We can follow His example and show love to our family and neighbors and friends! It can make a big difference for people when we show them that we care.
I am glad we have a prophet to help us to stay close to Jesus and Heavenly Father. He is our guide and friend. He loves us and wants us to be happy.

Primary Talk May 17: Keep The Word Of God In My Heart
Jesus has asked us to keep the word of God in our hearts. Do you know what that means? I think it means that we need to remember Heavenly Father and Jesus and do our best to keep them close to our hearts.
One way we can keep them close to our hearts is to read the scriptures and memorize short verses to help us in times of need. I like the scripture in Mark that says, “Peace, be still.” Jesus said these words to calm the troubled waters of the sea. And it worked!
Jesus would say these same words to us when we are having a rough day! When we feel sad or alone, our hearts can whisper, “Peace, be still.” Jesus will help us to feel calm and safe.
I know when we keep His words close and remember Him, we can feel peace and happiness in our lives.

Primary Talk May 24: Be Strong And Of Good Courage
In the Bible, Jesus tells the people to “Be strong and of good courage.” He tells them the same thing over and over again. I think that means they really needed to hear those words.
Do you ever have days when you need Jesus to tell you to “be strong and of good courage?”
It is not always easy to choose the right. We may be tempted to say mean things. It is easy to think that telling a lie or skipping church is more fun than doing what Jesus wants us to do. How can we stand up for what is right?
We can follow the example of people in the scriptures that chose to follow Jesus even when it was hard. We can say a prayer and ask the Holy Ghost to help us. We can picture Jesus walking by our side, helping us to say on the path back to Him. Following the commandments and living like Jesus takes strength and courage! We can do it.

Primary Talk May 31: Small And Simple Things
An important lesson we learn from the scriptures is that by small and simple things, great things come to pass! Jesus and Heavenly Father don’t need huge miracles and large army’s to make good things happen on Earth. Little actions make a big difference.
What are some small things we can do to help make the world a better place? Here a few:
- Smiling at people at school or at the store
- Picking up trash and litter
- Doing “secret service” activities for neighbors
- Helping clean the house without being asked
- Praying for a friend who is sad
- Saying, “thank you” to teachers
It is possible to make a difference…even though we are small. When we choose the right and choose to follow the example of Jesus, we make the world a little better and a little bit brighter.
