Our printable LDS Primary Talk templates about prophets will help your child easily prepare for speaking in primary.
The theme for May 2018 in the Church primary curriculum is, “Prophets teach us to live the restored gospel.” Prophets are an important part of our church. From the beginning of time, God has placed prophets on the earth to watch over and guide His children. We have a living prophet today that leads and guides the church under the direction of Jesus Christ. The living prophet teaches us to live the gospel through his council, testimony, and actions.
Help your child present a talk about prophets with these four printable LDS primary talks. The templates are based on the May 2018 weekly sharing time theme.
Speaking in primary gives children the opportunity to build their own testimony, gain courage to speak in front of a crowd, and feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost. These LDS primary talk printables make the experience easy and meaningful. A perfect combo!
LDS Primary Talk Week One: The Important Role Of The Prophet
This talk covers what the role of the prophet is in our Church. It highlights some of the accomplishments of the prophets in the scriptures and reminds the children that prophets are heroes!
LDS Primary Talk Week 2: The Living Prophet Leads The Church Under The Direction Of Jesus Christ
This printable primary talk highlights General Conference and traditions that families have for listening on Conference weekend. The prophet speaks to us today and gives council from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ directs our church. The prophet speaks for him.
LDS Primary Talk Week 3: Prophets Teach Me To Pay Tithing
Young children don’t typically have the opportunity to pay tithing frequently. But, they can learn and gain a testimony of the principle at an early age. This talk uses a fun analogy with Oreo cookies that teaches the principle that paying tithing first is much easier than waiting until the rest of their money has already been spent.
LDS Primary Talk Week 4: Prophets Teach Me To Live The Word Of Wisdom
This fun printable primary talk helps children understand that their bodies are very special. They should take care of their bodies in the same manner that they would use to take care of their favorite toy. The Word of Wisdom was given to us from God so we can be healthy and happy!
Primary Leaders: Print off a copy to have on hand for Sunday meetings. If a child does not show up prepared to give their talk, you can provide them with a talk to give! They can also be used when the child who has been asked to give the talk does not show up to primary that day. It takes the stress out of the process and helps the Spirit stay close.
Parents: To make these talks personalized, there are a few missing parts of the script that you get to fill in, together, with your child. That way, the child giving the talk feels that they have contributed to the message in their own special way.
