When you hear “7-Eleven,” do the words fresh, healthy, fruits/veggies come to mind?? No – me either. But that recently changed when I discovered that 7-Eleven now offers a Fresh Foods line that includes:
- Fresh sandwiches
- Fresh cut fruit
- Whole fruit
- Yoplait Yogurt Parfait with oats and honey granola
- Bistro Snack packs with mini pitas, cheddar cheese cubes, red grapes, celery, baby carrots and hummus
I live in an area that’s got a 7-Eleven on every corner (or so it seems), which works out well for me since I’m often looking for on-the-go snacks that are healthy – a combination that’s hard to find! My little 3-year-old sidekick is a huge fan of 7-Eleven hot dogs, which I will occasionally treat him to for lunch if we’re out and about. I used to hesitate because I wasn’t personally excited about hot dogs for lunch, but he may be getting hot dogs regularly now that I know about all the other yummy options to satisfy me.
We recently made a pit stop at 7-Eleven on our way to the park, and look at the yummy lunch we came up with!
We both had a hard time choosing from all the delicious and healthy options.
I can also see this new discovery coming in very handy on road trips. I get sick and tired of the usual convenience food options. But not anymore. We can stop at 7-Eleven and the whole family can find something they’re excited about eating!
