Sooo… the past two Sunday’s I was on a cruise with my husband, so I won’t be able to give you my regular church report. BUT, I have been thinking about a little something this week that I wanted to share. So, we’ll call that our Sunday Sunshine for the week and next week, I’ll be back on track. I’m so happy to be back at church tomorrow!
Okay, every year our accountant sends us a calendar that goes on the fridge. Usually, I would just toss something like that, as I have several other calendars… or give it to one of my kids to scribble on. But, I look forward to this calendar every year because of the quotes in it. This lady finds the best quotes! It went along perfectly with the little video that I was watching with my kids in homeschool, so after watching it we talked all about the quote and what it meant. It was a great teaching moment!
Here’s the quote…

I love that.
This brand new video is super inspirational and totally encompasses creating yourself: ~
“In our mortal journey, the advice of the Apostle Paul provides heavenly guidance: “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Then came the concluding charge: “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”
“Real faith is not restricted to childhood, but rather applies to all. We learn from the Proverbs: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” When we do, we will come to realize that we have been on His holy errand, that His divine purposes have been fulfilled, and that we have shared in that fulfillment.”
Challenge of the Week: This week, jot down in a notebook on one side of the page some of the character traits you think you possess. On the other side of the page, write down some character traits you would like to have or strengthen. On the next page, make a plan. What can you add into your life and remove from your life to help you become the kind of person you want to be? Keep your plan somewhere that you can refer to it often.
