One of my favorite things to notice when writing these Primary Talks each month is how often the topic focuses on Jesus. Jesus is our Brother, Friend, Savior, and Example. I know he loves the Primary children. It makes me so happy to know that Primary children around – the world and talking of Christ, rejoicing in Christ, preaching of Christ and prophesying of Christ! They are a light to the world.

April 14 Primary Talk: Jesus Takes Care of Me
In the scriptures, there is a story about how Jesus is the master of a vineyard. He takes care of the trees and protects them from being destroyed.
The story is told to help us understand that Jesus will always watch over us. We are his brothers and sisters. He loves us. He wants to keep us safe from harm.
We know that Jesus loves us because he suffered and died to save us. We can feel his love most when we pray to Heavenly Father, sing Primary songs, keep the commandments, and when we love and serve others.
I am glad Jesus is watching over me.

April 21 Primary Talk: Come Unto Christ
Have you heard the words, “Come Unto Christ?” The scriptures teach us that we should come unto to Christ! How can we do that when He is not here?
We can learn about Jesus by reading the scriptures and listening to stories about His life.
We can become like Jesus by following in his footsteps and making good choices.
We can feel Jesus’ love by serving others.
When we do these things, we come unto Christ. I love Jesus and want to be with Him!

April 28 Primary Talk: Serving Others Serves God
King Benjamin was a good king. He wanted his people to be happy! He taught them that they should serve each other with all of their “might, mind and strength!”
Why does service make us happy?
When we serve, we are helping Heavenly Father. We are his hands on Earth. He can’t give a hug, or help with chores, or even bake cookies!
Heavenly Father needs us to listen to the Holy Ghost and follow the promptings that we get to help others.
When we do these things, it makes us happy! It makes Heavenly Father happy too.
