Aren't these melting snowmen OREO cookie balls so cute?! Perfect for a wintry treat! {This post is sponsored by OREO.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.}

These Melting Snowmen OREO Cookie Balls are the perfect treat to make this winter!  They are adorable, simple enough to make with “helpers,” and they taste amazing!  They are rich and delicious, but you also have built-in portion control.  Does it get any better?  (No. No, it doesn’t.)

The other great thing about these darling snowmen is that you can easily pick up all of the ingredients from your local Kroger.  All you need is a package of Winter OREO Cookies, cream cheese, white chocolate and some decorating gels and you’re set!  They’re so simple, but they taste divine, and they really couldn’t be any more adorable!  These are perfect for Christmas parties (school, work, church, neighborhood…you name it!) because, really, who doesn’t love a melting snowman?  Also a great treat to take to a neighbor or some friends.  My sister came over the day I made these and she told me she couldn’t wait to make them for her kids.  Everyone will love them!

OREO melting snowmen 4 Just make some OREO crumbs, combine them with some cream cheese, roll them into balls, refrigerate them, dip them in white chocolate, decorate, and enjoy!  So simple.

OREO melting snowmen 5 To make the little “carrot” noses, melt the orange candy melts, spoon into a sandwich bag, and snip a tiny hole into one corner.  Make a small dot on a piece of parchment or waxed paper, then slowly pull up.  The warmer the melts are, the more the tip of the “carrot” will bend.  As the melts become cooler as you pipe, the tips will stand up straight.  You can attach the noses one of two ways: carefully stick it on the face before the white chocolate is hardened, or let the white chocolate harden completely, then dip the base of the “carrot” in some melted white chocolate and attach it to the face.  Then use the decorator gels to add the eyes and mouth.

Melting Snowmen OREO Cookie Balls

Servings 15 Servings
Calories 180 kcal

Ingredients

  • 24 Winter OREO Cookies divided
  • 3 Tbsp. brick cream cheese
  • 9 oz. white baking chocolate melted
  • 1 Tbsp. orange candy melts melted and assorted color decorating gels (I used black to make it look like coal eyes and a smile)

Instructions

  1. Finely crush 9 cookies (a food processor will make fine crumbs in about 10 seconds!). Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended. Roll into 15 balls.
  2. Place remaining cookies on waxed paper-lined rimmed cookie sheet. Dip balls in white chocolate; place on cookies. Tap cookies on tray 3 to 4 times, allowing excess chocolate to pool onto cookies. Decorate with gels.
  3. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

Recipe Notes

To Easily Dip The Cookie Balls: Use a toothpick to dip the cookie balls into melted white chocolate; shake off excess chocolate then place on waxed paper. This may leave just a small hole on top that can be covered with a tiny dab of chocolate.

To Melt the Chocolate: Place chocolate in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted, stirring every 30 seconds.
