Sooo… the past two Sunday’s I was on a cruise with my husband (I’ll tell you about it soon!), so I won’t be able to give you my regular church report. BUT, I have been thinking about a little something this week that I wanted to share and found a really special video. So, we’ll call that our Sunday Sunshine for the week and next week, I’ll be back on track. I’m so happy to be back at church tomorrow!
February 2015 Visiting Teaching Message Printable (she:Kiki)
Hi everyone! I’m back to share some new printables for you this month to take Visiting Teaching with you!
What is Visiting Teaching?
First of all, let me explain visiting teaching. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we are in a congregation where we are asked to go and visit certain ladies each month to really get to know them, share a quick message and find out if they have any needs that need to be met. It’s one of the ways we build friendships and help our leaders know any needs that families have. (There would be too many for them to visit them all!) So why do I love printables + visiting teaching? I LOVE putting to paper thoughts and quotes that inspire and uplift me, my family and those around me and visiting teaching has been such a blessing in my life. I have met so many incredible women who have blessed my life through both visiting teaching and being taught as well! I love the thought of leaving a little thought for them to hang up and think about throughout the month.
Sunday Sunshine ~ Week 2
Happy Sunday!
Sunday Sunshine is where I share my favorite thoughts from church the previous Sunday. It’s a fun way for me to add to my personal history by recording thoughts, but also to share with you a little goodness.
Come read my personal insights and all that inspired me! I’m hoping you’ll be inspired too.
Sunday Sunshine
Happy Sunday! I recently mentioned in my The Moment I Realized Family History is Awesome post that I’m part of a family history class at church. We spend a lot of time talking about the importance of keeping our own personal history. It got me thinking how a lot of what I write on this blog is part of my personal history that can be passed down. I love that!
With that in mind…
After my family history class, I transition to Relief Society. That’s the class at church for them women. It’s my favorite one. With all the chaos of life, the moment I sit down in Relief Society, I feel exactly that… relief.
The Savior Wants to Forgive Us ~ Sunday Inspiration
Happy Sunday! This week’s message is all about repenting, how The Savior wants to forgive us, and how we need to forgive ourselves. I hope you take a few minutes to ponder the message and apply it to your lives. I was so inspired just putting it together.
Come check out the touching video, favorite thoughts, and free printable!

What is Visiting Teaching?
First of all, let me explain visiting teaching…
52 Family Night Lessons for Every Week of the Year! (she: Mariah)
Happy New Year everyone! I hope all your resolutions are going well so far! Something that I want to be better at this year is having weekly family nights or family home evenings.
For those of you who don’t know what family home evening is, it’s basically a night where your family spends time with each other and they usually include a little lesson, an activity, and (if you’re lucky) a treat.
Visiting Teaching Printable – Free Download for November (she: Kiki)
Hi everyone! I’m Kiki from Kiki and Company and I am thrilled to be back here again to share a new visiting teaching printable this month. Wasn’t General Conference last month so great?! For those who don’t know what General Conference is, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we meet together two times a year as a whole church to listen to the leaders from our church give us guidance and direction. It really is such an amazing weekend and one I look so forward to.
For this month’s visiting teaching printable, I chose Thomas S. Monson’s talk “Guided Safely Home” to make a printable (remember, you can choose your favorite talk or one that would impact the ladies you visit teach most).
Meet THIS Mormon and ‘Meet The Mormons’
So, it’s kind of a fun day for us Mormon-folk. We have an opportunity to introduce ourselves on the BIG SCREEN. Oh, ya. It’s a movie called… what else, BUT… Meet the Mormons. Here’s the scoop: “Meet the Mormons examines the very diverse lives of six devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Filmed on location and across the globe, Meet the Mormons takes viewers on a journey into the day-to-day realities of individuals living in the U.S., Costa Rica, Nepal and beyond. From their individual passions to their daily struggles, each story paints a picture as rich and unique as the next while challenging the stereotypes that surround the Mormon faith.”
Read more about it and find out how you can get a free packet written by your favorite Mormon bloggers, mailed to you for free!
October Visiting Teaching Message (she: Kiki)
Hi everyone, it’s Kiki here, and I’m so happy to be back this month with the October visiting teaching message. As usual, the printable is free, and would accompany a treat or a visit really well. This month the lesson is The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: The Bread of Life. I’m loving all of these reminders of the different roles of Christ and hope you take a minute to read it.
How to Never Miss a Day Reading Scriptures
Today’s post is all about something that up until last January, was super hard for me… consistent scripture reading. Whether you read The Bible or The Bible AND The Book of Mormon, or whatever else enriches your life, this can work for you.
Okay, so as a member of the Mormon church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), we are asked to actively STUDY the scriptures. And despite the fact that when I do, I learn a ton, I evaluate myself for short-comings, I find answers to prayers, and I feel inspired to be a better person… it’s still hard to make it a habit to read the scriptures every day. It’s been hard my whole life. I get too busy, too tired, too lazy, whatever. But, now I got it down, sista. I haven’t missed a day since January 1st and it’s all because of a simple little trick. The best thing ever.
