Years and years ago, Joey’s older brother had a thing for Thomas, as well. He also had major potty-training issues, in which he earned die-cast Thomas trains when things were going well. What I LOVE is that those little trains, because of the quality, have totally stood the test of time. They look AS good as the day we bought them, which has saved me a lot of money. Joey totes these trains around the house all day long…lines them up, hooks them together (with the magnets), and chugs them all across the tables and floors. If your little guy loves trains, we highly recommend these die-cast trains!
So, I don’t have to keep donating my gift bags, kitchen bowls, and laundry baskets to Joey for train transportation, I figured he could use his own backpack. I loved this little Thomas Backpack and even had it personalized for free! $24.99
Okay, enough of trains. Joey loves to be like the ‘big boys’, so whenever his brothers are out playing catch or hitting balls in the yard, he wants in on the action. Sometimes the brothers are down with it, and sometimes their calling me in for back-up. This Little Tikes T-Ball Set would be perfect for him to use while they’re out playing, and it’s a great price! $15
If your two year old is into sports…or, more likely balls, now is the perfect time for their first basketball hoop. I love the Fisher Price I Can Play Basketball Hoop because it grows right along with your child, it ranges from 3′ to 6′. $55
Suggested on Facebook, LEGO Duplo Blocks are perfect for small hands and sparking creativity. There are several fun sets to choose from: Fire Station, Zoo, Farm, School, Market, and even girly ones for sis. I’m going to keep these in mind for Christmas!
There’s something about toddlers and fridge magnets. I still have memories of playing with my grandma’s fridge magnets when I was sooo little! She had the Pillsbury Dough Boy and another one of his wife. They were the mom and dad to all the other magnets. Good times. So, it always makes me smile when I see my own kids getting a kick out of my magnets, you know the one of a plastic strawberry, the exterminator’s magnetic business card, and the magnet covered in dried hot glue that used to have something on it. Needless to say, these Melissa & Doug Animal Magnets would be a major upgrade for the kiddos, especially little Joey.
Speaking of animals, Joey adores dogs. He gets so giddy when he sees them, it’s cute. So, I’m thinking he would love this Unipak Plush Dog House Carrier, stuffed with dogs. He’ll love the cute animals and he’ll also fulfill his need to pack up toys and tote them around the house. They also have other cute animals houses, like a dinosaur one, tree house, farm house, horse house, and many more.
Sorry, back to trains. Well, this idea also works for cars…I think Joey would have lots of fun with this Ride the Train Rug. It’s way cooler than a boring tile floor, and it’s actually pretty big…approx 3′ x 8′! But, reviewers say it’s simple enough to roll up and toss in the closet. This is another thing on my ‘keep in mind for Christmas’ list. $43
