One of the cutest little creatures created for the big screen are the Minions from Despicable Me. They are so silly and likable! My kids love them. We are really excited to visit the new Minion Mayhem attraction and Super Silly Fun Land at Universal Studios Hollywood that opens April 10. I hear you get to become a Minion and can play in a carnival made just for Minions! Fun, right? In the meantime, you can bring some Minion Mayhem into your home by making these tasty Jolly Rancher Minion lollipops. This project is so easy – even little kids can do it! And, it only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish.

You will need:

Jolly Rancher Hard Candy (Wild Berry Flavor Pack)

Lollipop Sticks

Candy Eyes (Small and Large sizes)

Black Frosting

Parchment Paper

To start, line your baking sheet with parchment paper. (Make sure it is the high-quality non-stick parchment paper not just wax paper!)

Each minion lollipop is made of three jolly rancher candies. Two yellow and one blue.

Unwrap the candies and place them on the baking sheet. Like this:

 bake

I found that it is best to stagger the rows of candies on your baking sheet so there is room to place the lollipop sticks in after they are melted. Bake the candies in the oven at 350 degrees for 4-5 minutes. Keep an eye on them during the last minute. When the centers are totally melted, they are done. Immediately place the lollipop sticks into the bottom part of the melted candy.

Once the candy hardens, peel the lollipops off of the baking sheet. Wet the area where the eyes go with warm water. It will make the candy sticky. Then place the candy eyes onto the lollipop.

Next, use your frosting pen to draw around the eyes and across the face to form the strap and let each adorable minion lollipop dry.

It is that easy! The jolly ranchers are very tasty and they turn into delicious lollipops. I hope you enjoy making these cute little Minion Lollipops with your family. Enjoy!

Too cute! I’d make these for my kids but then I’d have to endure hours of them making minion noises, especially the siren sound. lol

Thank you! Yes, I should have put a warning that you may have an increase in Minion noises when you make these. 🙂

I want to make these for my son’s cub scout bake sale but cannot find yellow jolly ranchers. 🙁 I bought a bag but there are no yellow ones in it. Any suggestions?

Yes! You have to get the Wild Berry flavor pack. It has lemon flavor and blue raspberry.

Okay, I searched and searched and no one local had the Wild Berry Pack. I lucked out and found a pack of all Lemon at Walgreens. Just a FYI if anyone else experiences this dilemma! 🙂

I made these today and they turned out great. Very easy to make! Thank you so much. Might have to check out Walgreens to get an all yellow bag. I was only able to make 7 with the bag of Wild Berry…..but there were way more yellow than blue.
