Here’s what you simply must see and do for the ultimate princess experience at Disneyland!
Hey Everyone, it’s Kimberly with Packed with Fun, the official blog for Get Away Today. I love sharing all of my tips and tricks for the Happiest Place on Earth. Disneyland is any princesses dream vacation destination, but there are a few ways to take a Disneyland vacation to the next level with the little princess in your life. Our agents are always asked how they can make a Disneyland vacation extra special, so I put together a list of 20 things on how to have the ultimate princess experience at Disneyland.
20 WAYS TO HAVE THE ULTIMATE PRINCESS EXPERIENCE AT DISNEYLAND:
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Anna and Elsa’s Boutique – Your princess will feel like a princess when she is transformed into one. For an extra special occasion, your little girl can get a princess makeover inside the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, or the more affordable Frozen inspired transformation at Anna & Elsa’s Boutique in Downtown Disney. I recommend doing it on your first day, because the transformation can last a few days if you’re careful!
Ariel’s Grotto – Another must for any princess fan is the Princess Celebration breakfast or lunch at Disney California Adventure. Breakfast is served family style and lunch is served from a three course prix fixe menu fit for royalty. Consider eating during off times for fewer crowds and more one-on-one time with the princesses as they mix and mingle.
The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – The perfect stop after Ariel’s Grotto is to her Undersea Adventure. This is a quick moving line and a long attraction, so it is perfect for young princesses.
Storybook Land Canal Boats – See miniature versions of where all of the princesses live. Jasmine’s oasis, Elsa’s ice castle and Snow White’s cottage can all be seen here.
Fantasy Faire Meet-n-Greet – You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale in this charming area of Fantasyland. It’s also one of the best places to meet the princesses as up to three princesses at a time will meet and greet guests here.
Royal Theatre – Also located in the Fantasy Faire, the Royal Theatre features two princess shows. Rapunzel and Belle each star in their own stories and you’ll want to watch both shows. Check the schedule to see when they’re playing during your visit.
Snow White’s Wishing Well – Every princess has a wish that her heart makes. Help make hers come true by letting her whisper her wish into Snow White’s Wishing Well tucked back by the Pixie Hollow by the statues of the Seven Dwarfs.
Snow White’s Scary Adventure – This Fantasyland attraction is just like the name says, a little scary, but just like the story, Snow White and her prince live happily ever after.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-through – The castle is the icon of Disneyland, but did you know you can actually walk through it? You can walk through and experience Aurora’s story in a whole new way.
Paint the Night Parade – You’ll see the Disney princesses like you’ve never seen them before illuminated with over 1.5 million LED lights and larger than life. It is a true can’t miss nighttime spectacular that is part of the Diamond Celebration.
Disneyland Forever – Immediately following the Paint the Night Parade, the fairy tale magic continues with the Disneyland Forever fireworks. This Diamond Celebration fireworks show features some of Disney’s most magical and memorable moments including scenes from Tangled and Frozen.
World of Color – Celebrate! – This is the third of the Diamond Celebration nighttime spectaculars and celebrates Disneyland’s history. Since the Disney princesses are a huge part of that history, you’ll see some of your favorites highlighted in this show.
Afternoon Tea at Steakhouse 55 inside the Disneyland Hotel – Any true princess knows that a proper afternoon includes tea time. Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel now offers just that, including a version for young princesses that serves Mickey shaped tea sandwiches, mini desserts, chocolate milk, and of course, teas.
Frozen – LIVE at the Hyperion – Beginning May 27, the royal sisters of Arendelle are performing in their first Broadway caliber musical at the Hyperion. It promises powerful music, incredible effects and so much more.
Frozen Meet – n – Greet – You can meet the stars of the show over in the Animation Building inside Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure. During busier times at the park you can grab a Fastpass to meet Anna and Elsa, because a princess shouldn’t have to wait too long!
Animation Building – Explore the Sorcerer’s Workshop and step into experiences that Disney princesses lived in their stories with Ursula’s Grotto and the Beast’s Library.
Disney Junior – Live on Stage! – Sofia the First plays an important role in this interactive show for the littlest of princesses.
King Arthur Carousel and Sword in the Stone – For a royal time, take a spin on the King Arthur Carousel, and be sure to check out the Sword in the Stone. You can even try to pull it out!
Mickey and the Magical Map – Don’t let the name of this show fool you – there are plenty of appearances from Disney royalty – including some characters that are harder to find in the parks. Tiana, Rapunzel, Mulan and Pocahontas are all part of the all-star cast.
Tomorrowland – Who says princesses have to be dainty? You can find Princess Leia of Star Wars royalty in the limited time Path of the Jedi, and in select scenes from Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.
