3. Cut your tulle. If you want the end length to be 10 inches you double that plus add 1 inch. So, you would cut the tulle at 21 inches. I wanted my tulle to be 11 inches long. So, I doubled that and added 1 inch. I cut my tulle at 23 inches. Yes, math is involved in making a tutu…!
4. Knot your tulle. I use a Cow Hitch Knot {in case you can’t figure it out and need to look it up on youtube or something.} I call it a Tutu Knot. Some people just tie it onto the elastic for a foofier messier look. Your preference. I always do it this way. Put your tulle like the picture below.
8. When you get to a certain point, it gets a little more difficult to knot the tulle. You’ll need to sew the ends together.
9. Take the ends of the elastic and overlap them about 1 inch. With a needle and a thread, sew them together. Remember kids stretch them out, so you want to make sure that it is secure.
{I try to sew all the embellishments on because they are littler. However, with rhinestones…etc…you need the glue gun.}
I decided to tie ribbon on the tutu this time.
