Frozen Inspired Party Theme, featuring Snowmen, of course! (she: Adelle)

We are seriously loving Disney’s Frozen Movie and its amazing soundtrack.  One of our favorite songs from the show is “Do you want to build a snowman?”  Who doesn’t love building snowmen?  We put together a fun frozen inspired party theme to celebrate my cute little girl and to have some snowman Frozen fun!

Do you want to build a snowman party too?  Here is what we did:

First we started with snowman invitations that I made using cardstock, three white buttons, a very small piece of felt, and hot glue for each snowman.

Next, we brought the “snow” inside. To decorate for the party, we covered the table with sparkly white and silver fabric.  We made white tissue paper pom poms and strung glitter balls and cotton balls onto string to hang with the pom poms to look like snow!  It was simple, festive, and easy.

The main party activity was building snowmen out of white cotton socks.  You will need a white sock, a colored sock, buttons, glue, ribbon, polyfill, and rice for each snowman.  There is a great tutorial here that shows the steps for building the snowmen.  We had a lot of fun creating these little snowy friends!  Each one turned out a little bit different.

After we finished the snowmen, we had an indoor snowball fight with fluffy marshmallows.  Each person got a handful of marshmallows to throw!  This kind of snowball fight is the best, because the “snow” is not cold, it’s soft and sweet!

No party is complete without a cake. If you are not an expert at cake decorating, do not fear!  This Snowman Cake is very easy to make.  I loosely followed this recipe.  Bake two round cakes and decorate with candy.  We used Fruit by the Foot for the scarf and mouth, Sweethearts for the buttons, Chocolate Eggs for the eyes, chocolate licorice for the arms and a carrot for the nose.
