Gift Ideas: 2 Year Old Girl

My beanie babe, Isabelle, is going to be two tomorrow!  I need to start stepping it up for her because she seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to birthday celebrations.  We have been celebrating birthdays around here every two weeks since the middle of July…and I’m tired.  Blah.  But, she’s so stinkin’ cute that I need to pull it together and give her a fun day…hmmm…I better come up with something fast!

Anyway, she has the most hilarious personality and is very particular about what she does and doesn’t like …so, hopefully these ideas will interest your little two year old too.

Gift ideas: 2 year old girl

Belly Bean LOVES baby dolls.  And, I think I told you before about my love for Corolle dolls…they’re great.  They cost a little more ($25 on up) but I love the quality, that you can wash them so easily, their hair isn’t nappy, and they’re actually cute!  I always think it would be fun for her to have dolls that will last forever…one’s that she can give to her little girls or just keep for memories…these are great for that.  Baby dolls are way more fun if you can change their outfits (…I mean, that’s what I HEAR…) Sometimes you can find doll clothes at random stores around town (for good prices), but I was having a hard time finding CUTE doll clothes.  I hate the price of Corolle’s doll clothes, but I splurged…they were the only one’s I liked.
Corolle Vanilla Brunette, $36
I’ve noticed that two year olds LOVE to pretend that they’re grown up…or, maybe that’s all kids.  But, Isabelle especially loves to pretend she’s a real mommy to these dolls.  So, of course…she’s going to need some accessories to help raise these babies right…
Toysmith Doll Care Set, $15

Umbrella Stroller, $20 (there are TONS of cute doll strollers…but, they can go way up in price.  This is cute, this one, and this one.)
I love this heirloom cradle…but, I’m thinking about something cheaper, like this, this, or this.
Babies get hungry too! KidKraft High Chair, $29

Okay, that’s enough doll stuff.  Isabelle also loves shoes.  The second she notices the shoe aisle in Target, she’s already squealing and yanking her shoes off, hoping to try on a few pair.  But, nothing would put me more quickly in the “cool mom” category than if I got her some high heels.  She is literally obsessed with wearing mine…that’s why I can never find them!  Amazon has this fun set of Disney Princess shoes, but…buy them at Wal-Mart or Target, they’re significantly cheaper.Even better than those are the shoes they sell at the actual Disney Store…they’re better quality, way cuter, and your little one will actually be able to walk in them without slipping all over…about $19 each.

Isabelle loves to do anything and everything she sees me doing and 90% of my life is spent sweeping the floor.  So, I think she would love her OWN broom.  I love that this cute set is only $8 bucks and is just the perfect size for toddlers…

If I had more carpet in my house, she would probably love a vacuum too!  This Dirt Devil Junior looks just like the real thing, but is toddler sized too.  It lights up, the beads whirl around, it makes a revving sound and the hand vac detaches.  Perfect. $39

I don’t know WHY I would encourage this by buying a backpack for Isabelle…but, she loves to find bags, fill them up with random things from all over the house and then leave it on the floor for me to sort and put away.  It’s great fun…for her.  So, I’m slightly, slightly tempted by the backpacks by Skip Hop Zoo.  They’re so cute!  Besides, it would be perfect for her sleepovers to grandma’s house.  Best of all, they’re only $20 bucks.

Books are always fun…especially if they’re educational too!  I love this set of chunky learning books for little ones…$14.99.

I try to stuff every purse and bag I have with knick knacks to entertain Isabelle while we’re out and about.  I bought several felt finger puppets a while back at a boutique…but, they fell apart.  Now, I’ve got my eye on these cuties to keep in my bags.  For about the same price as they ones I bought, they’re cuter and better quality…there are several different ones to choose from.  Garden Gallery Finger Puppets.

What to get…what to get…
