Finally your shopping is done…oh, but wait…the stockings.  Back out to battle the crowds!  But, if you have a few ideas before you go (or shop online)…it may just be a little, just a little, less stressful.
Here are some fun ideas for the Punks & your Prince Charming:
Last Minute Stocking Stuffers for Christmas:
Even the adults will be snagging this little, inexpensive gadget away…to give it a try!  You think of a word and the gadget asks you 20 questions to try and guess what you’re thinking of.  It does a pretty darn good job!

20Q (Colors May Vary), $7.99

Back when I first moved to Utah (when I was in high school), I got myself a harmonica to keep me company until I made some friends.  Sad, right?  But, guess what…I can whip out a tune like it’s nobody’s business.  Okay, I’m not THAT good…but, I’ve got a few songs up my sleeve.  Anyway, since then…I stopped playing cause my kids have slobbered and drooled all over it.  What I’m getting at is…kids like harmonicas!  The cool thing is they have all sorts of prices and just because they are cheap doesn’t mean they are crappy…they have great starter harmonicas for under $10 bucks!  For the older kids, include an easy…highly recommended…instruction book, Instant Harmonica: Quick and Easy Instruction for the Beginner.

Here is a favorite harmonica for the youngins:

Hohner 81 Pocket Pal Diatonic Harmonica, $6

It’s no secret that babies love phones and remote controls…but, this is one that you won’t have to worry about them playing with it!  An Amazon.com favorite, just push the buttons and Elmo will say all sorts of silly things.  We actually got this very one for my little Isabelle.

Fisher-Price Sesame Street Silly Sounds Remote, $13

How about a watch??  I’m always seeing the cutest darn watches for kids!  But, my boys would especially dig this Star Wars one (they have several of the different characters).  It comes with a bunch of different pieces and you put it together yourself…make a pattern, change the colors, etc.

LEGO Star Wars Watch, $17

Binoculars!  These could be for the kids or for your husband!  These puppies get stellar reviews on Amazon, and guess what!?  They’re only $12 bucks, pocket-size…and they work awesome!  The kids will love them for checking out nature in their own backyard.  My boys like to use them when playing “war” with their friends…they get all geared up in their camo, with their nerf guns, walkie-talkies and binoculars.  The husband will love to have them handy in his truck for random deer sightings (if he’s anything like my husband).

Bushnell Powerview 8×21 Compact Folding Roof Prism Binocular (Black), $12

Some things will be cool forever.  All kids can appreciate the wonder of a kaleidoscope.

Classic Tin Kaleidoscope, $7.48

Okay, do NOT give this to your husband…except as a joke.  Every time I see this stuff, I laugh…all I can think of are those uber-cheesy commercials…”hot bod….nice bod…I want your bod…”.  Anyway, really…these are perfect for my little boy’s stockings!  They always think it’s so cool to wear cologne to school, even though they are…oh, 5 and 8 years old.  So, they get “Bod”.  They also get a travel size thing of deoderant…they love anything that their dad has!  It’s pretty cute to see them acting like such big shots.  If you want to get your man some real cologne, consider Lacoste Essential By Lacoste For Men. Eau De Toilette Spray 4.2 Ounces, a favorite of mine (and Jessica’s).

Bod Man Fresh Blue Musk 8 oz Body Spray, $6.99

Girls like yummy smells too!  Little toddler’s think it’s fabulous to spray themselves with girly smells, wash with girly soaps, and lather with girly lotions.  Bath & Body Works is a great place to go for great prices!
Who doesn’t like a good story??  It could be a book…but, if that special person has an iPod, how about a gift card to Audible.com??  There are books for kids…really LITTLE kids, there are books for teenagers, and adults!  This would work for anyone.  There are several different options of subscription plans or you can just purchase book by book.  I have several children’s books on my iPod that I can turn on for the kids in the car, at the store, wherever!  The Beard Man drives a lot for work, so he goes through a book a week…so, we are BIG users of Audible.com.  Maybe they are a bigger fan of music…how about a gift certificate to iTunes?
Only 2 1/2 inches long, but packed with practicality!  This Leatherman is a favorite among reviewers for good reason…who couldn’t use scissors, a file, ruler, tweezers, knife, screwdriver, and bottle opener all in one compact little gadget?  I’ll take one for myself, please…and I guess one for the husband too!
My little Audrey, will be finding these fairy lacing cards in her stocking this year.  She loves anything that has pink, flowers, fairies, dresses, and is fun…that’s why I knew this would be perfect.  This will keep her occupied for at least ten minutes (that 10 minutes is GOLD to me!)  These are great for taking along for car rides, to church, or anywhere that quietness is appreciated. 🙂
I love filling The Beard Man’s stocking with his favorite treats!  Top of the list…beef jerky.  Other favorites: glass bottle Coke, Sour Patch Kids, Easy Cheese, Pop Rocks, and Fruity Mentos.

Jack Links Beef Steak Nuggets, 2 for $9.

A stocking just isn’t a stocking without a toothbrush in it.  Christmas is the time of year where I pick out a fancy-schmancy toothbrush for them…you know the kind, Tooth Tunes, Spin Brush, etc.  I love the Oral B Stages Power Toothbrushes.  Just beware, the Disney Princesses put on at least 40 pounds…not that there’s anything wrong with that.  I’m just concerned for their health, and your daughter might think they look a little weird.

Oral B Stages Kids Power Toothbrush, $7.99
