Are you ready for my cluster of birthday posts?  It’s birthday season at my house!  Come back tomorrow for ‘Gift Ideas for 8 Year Old Boy,’ then I have a couple August birthdays and a couple October.  So, Shane just turned 8, and was totally bummed that I was gone half of the day at the EVO Blog Conference in Park City.  Sad.  But, I left early and have been making it up to him ever since.  I went to EVO with my bestie and blog assistant, Paula.  It was way fun to be able to meet so many fun bloggers and to just get a little break from everyday life.

Here’s a few pics from our get-away…

So, several sponsors occupy the different hotel rooms.  We just randomly bounce around to each one to snack of their goodies and grab their free stuff.  Here we are with Minnie in Disneyland’s suite.  There were also suites from eBay, TMobile, P&G, Soft Cups, um…Hallmark, McDonalds, there were lots of fun ones!

I am a hungry girl, and sometimes I need more food than offered to me…enter, Kneaders.  We escaped the conference to load our bellies…twice!  (Kneaders is one of my favorites that I shared the other day on my Best Utah Restaurants post.)

It was really neat to get some insider tips from the real pros.  Here, The White On Rice Couple are teaching us their food photography tricks.  I even won her…tea towel.  🙂  It was funny though, Paula and I were on a winning streak, we were thinking of ditching EVO for Vegas!  We won gift cards, books, and so much crap.  It was awesome. We also took cooking classes sponsored by Truvia and another one by the California Avocado company.

The power totally went out in this huge hotel for hours.  Our rooms were pitch black.  It was awesome and stinky, at the same time.  Here’s Paula, lighting up our lives with her phone.

And, that’s a wrap!  See ya back here tomorrow for gift ideas.  I’m off to clean up the flooding in my basement.  It’s been quite the day.

P.S.  All these pictures were shared on Instagram.  To see more, find me there at ‘orsoshesays‘.
