Children and Christmas make a pretty fantastic combination! I love that Primary Children around the world learn about Jesus Christ during the Christmas Season in their homes and at Primary! Jesus gives us hope. His gospel brings us peace. His love inspires us to have charity. I pray that you can feel of His love this holiday season.

Primary Talk December 1: Jesus Gives Us Hope

In the scriptures we learn about faith, hope, and charity. They are important qualities to have! During the Christmas Season we can:

• Exercise faith by believing that Jesus was born and came to Earth to save us from our sins.
• We can feel hope when we believe that Jesus loves each of us. He is our Savior!
• We can feel charity when we take time to serve and share our love and time with those around us.

When we make faith, hope, and charity a part of our lives, it will help us to be closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus. We can feel their peace in our hearts.

Primary Talk December 8: Why I Like Church!

The prophet Moroni told us that it is important to gather together often as member of the Lord’s church. We come to church each Sunday! Why do we come?

• We come to church to learn about Jesus. We sing songs about Him and we learn of Him through our lessons.
• We come to church to make friends and support each other!
• We come to church to renew our covenants when we take the sacrament. It helps us to stay on the path back to Heaven.

I like coming to church! It is a good place to be. I am glad we gather together.

Primary Talk December 15: Hope In Good Things

One of the biggest blessings that come from living and knowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that we can always have hope. Hope is believing that there are good things coming no matter what is happening in the world or in our lives.

We know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have power bigger than anything! We know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. He made it possible for us to live with our Father in Heaven again. We know that we can feel their love and peace anytime we ask for it in faith. The Holy Ghost helps us feel hope.

Hope is a powerful and special blessing. I am glad I can hope for good things to come.

Primary Talk December 22: We Can Know Truth

When people stand up to bear their testimony they often say things like, “I know the scriptures are true.” or “I know that God loves me.” Or “I know that families can be together forever.”

How can we come to know that things are true? In the Book of Mormon we learn that the Holy Ghost can witness truth to our minds and hearts.

Have you ever felt good and warm inside when you sing a song about Jesus? When you drive past a temple or look at a picture of a temple does it make you feel happy? When you pray to Heavenly Father do you sometimes feel a special connection with Him in your heart?

This is the Holy Ghost teaching you about truth. When we seek to know what is true, the Holy Ghost will find ways to answer our prayers. We are so lucky to have truth in our lives. When we seek truth, we can find it!
